Lesli Crow | Boy Mom & Blogger

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lesli Crow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lesli, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I’ve always tried to give them what I didn’t have. They deserve somebody consistent, open with them about life, and somebody who teaches them about the chaos in the world without keeping them in the shadows of it. Being a boy mom to three boys I’m doing my best to raise boys to be good men. I keep the lines of communication open with them and have stressed that as their mom I’ll always be here to love and help them in any way I can. I want them to be the best and truest versions of themselves possible. Being a parent is loving them unconditionally and loving them hard. Reminding them that at the end of the day, mom will always be in your corner.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m currently a Recruiting Coordinator on the GigNow team at EY. Getting to where I am today has not been easy. I’ve been a part of companies that have given me amazing opportunities for growth as well as companies that didn’t care to see the potential I had. I didn’t go to college so everything that has gotten me to this point has been because of my drive to do better and BE better. I’ve learned along the way that anybody can oversee a team, but it takes somebody with heart, dedication, and the ability to know your people to be a true leader.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is one of the harder questions to answer because I’m such a homebody! Can I say I’d take them to my living room? Maybe stop by the kitchen on the way? Kidding. I live in Plano and I love the vibe at Legacy West or The Boardwalk – also known as Granite Park. Both are family friendly and the views are beautiful. Another must check out spot is The Painted Teacup in Frisco. It’s an adorable paint your own pottery shop and a lot of fun.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My entire tribe. It would be too hard to pick just one. I have a great group of people in my life that constantly help me celebrate my successes, lift me up out of the dark, and remind me that I have purpose to do more.
