Meet Grace Bransom | Author, Podcast Host & Lover of Good

We had the good fortune of connecting with Grace Bransom and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Grace, what are you inspired by?
I am deeply inspired by just about everything. One of the truths I cling to in my life has been the pattern of falling in love, daily. What that means to me is that I need to be consistently finding things that make life whimsical. Sometimes it’s my morning coffee, a song, or a book. Other times it’s a color or a neighborhood cat. No matter what I am falling for at the moment, it always springs a well deep down of creativity. I stay inspired because my Father is good, and He creates good things.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Right now, my book, “The words He used” and my podcast, “The Words He Used Podcast” have just begun their journies as published pieces, but I plan on putting out many other types of media, such as Poetry and Film. Writing my book was an incredible journey, as I wrote most of it as a senior in high school. There were very few challenging parts of my writing process, but the thing that was the most difficult was getting past the opinions and disbelief of those around me. I was counted out due to my age, but I think it is my power. I’ve learned that my youth is not a setback but rather a gift. At the age of 18, I can only grow from here, and I believe my art will grow with me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a Burleson girl through and through, so I would have to bring my guest to Dwell Coffee and Biscuits in Burleson. We would obviously have to visit my favorite mural as well, The Kindness Matters Mural. Then, we would jet to Fort Worth for the best vegan food around at the Spiral Diner. We would definitely have to visit some plant shops, like Grow and Ephemera. My favorite place in all of DFW is the Dallas Museum of Art, so it is a must!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Mom has always been a huge supporter of everything I do, and I could write novels about how much I appreciate her. I also want to give a special thanks to my best friend, Kendall, who helped me to make my dreams tangible.
