We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking has been a huge part of my career. I like to call them leaps of faith though. I took a leap of faith by starting my styling career when I was laid off instead of getting a traditional job. I took another leap of faith when I moved to NYC to continue my career as a Celebrity Fashion Stylist. And yet another leap of faith when I moved to Dallas to focus on Influencing.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
To get to where I am today it definitely took a lot of hard work, faith, and building of community. It wasn’t easy there were definitely times that I wanted to give up and stop styling but God kept me going and faith in his vision for my life is what I looked to in moments of doubt. Lessons I’ve learned along the way is keep pushing forward, your name will enter a room before you do and reputation is everything. I want people to know that my story is filled with moments where God showed up and showed out.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was in town I would take him to happy hour at Tulum, dinner at Eddie V‘s, brunch at KISS, and drinks at Whiskeys!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Parents they have supported me through every leap of faith that I took.
