We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassie Cross and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue photography because there is so much creativity! Photography gives me the ability to create art and produce images that can last a lifetime. It gives me the opportunity to develop different ideas and also helps me to discover my niche. It allows me to create different emotions that allows me to capture that special moment. The beauty of creativity gives me the vision to challenge myself and break rules that no other photographer can duplicate.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is base on colors and vibes. I don’t have a certain style of editing because my editing is based off the energy that is given from the picture. My first proudest moment is when my images got published in the inside cover of the Model Source Magazine. Without Renada (soso_brownyy), the publication wouldn’t even took place. I truly thank her for all her love and support! Now my second proudest moment is when I shared Taraji P. Henson’s instagram story and later on that day she emailed me with some kind words about my photography. I’ve overcome many challenges by watching tons of youtube videos and getting knowledge from other photographers. In photography I’ve learned that I have to surround myself around people who has the same vision and creativity as me. My brand is based on creativity, vibes, empowerment, and love. It’s all about capturing the beauty from the inside out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely book a room at Spa Castle. Spa Castle is a great place to reboot and it’s very peaceful. I would also take a special trip to Go Ape in Plano. It helps me to connect with nature and also helps me to step out my comfort zone. Now for the drinks lol, I would go to my favorite spot which is 54th Street. I love their customer service and they have a great selection of food and drinks. The most exciting place to chill and relax will be Downtown Dallas. I’m all about good vibes and good energy!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to send a special shoutout to my amazing husband, DeMarkqua Cross. I wouldn’t have done any of this without him. He is very supportive in all my decisions and always sharing kind words when I get overwhelmed. Photography isn’t an easy career path to pursue, so I will always need someone to keep me grounded. He is my number one supporter and I couldn’t ask for more!
