We had the good fortune of connecting with Caleigh Scozzari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Caleigh, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always been an organized person so one day my aunt asked me to help her organize her new apartment because she downsized and didn’t know what to do with all her belongings. During the process she mentioned that I should start my own organizing business, but I laughed it off. I thought nothing of it until “The Home Edit” came out on Netflix and it made me realize that people are actually making money off of organizing. It blew my mind. Soon after I started “OpenDoor Organization.” and have completely fallen in love with what I do.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Since opening OpenDoor Organization, I have learned that patience is very important. Getting your name out there and earning trust from customers takes some time. All you can do is work hard and not give up despite how long it takes to reach the goals that you have for your business. I’m so blessed with how far I’ve come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to my favorite restaurant ever; Chuy’s and then we would experience the night life on 7th street.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I couldn’t have done this without my hero; my dad. I watched him build his small business from the ground up and turn it into a highly successful company. He is the hardest working man I have ever met and has all the answers when I need guidance. Since I started my business, he has supported me 110% by leading me in the right direction as a business owner and going out and buying me things I need to help me succeed. Thank you dad, I love you with all my heart.
