We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Burns and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Megan, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor to me has been consistent and superior customer service. We have all heard of “The Golden Rule”, right? I often think of this rule when caring for others. I am a consumer as well and I strive hard to create the same experience that I would like to receive. I really try to place myself in the clients shoes.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As mentioned before, I believe our dedication to superior customer service has been what sets us apart.

I am most proud of our recent Gold Winner award for Best in DFW 2021 with The Dallas Morning News. We are so blessed with amazing clients that nominated us. We just so happened to bring home the gold in our category.

The road to where I am today has never been easy. It takes constant hustle, focus and discipline. There are always challenges. One thing I have always been strong at is problem solving. I try to avoid challenges by problem solving new endeavors before I implement them. I really try to think of every possible thing that can go wrong and find solutions ahead of time. This has worked well for me in any role I have worked in.

I have learned many lessons over the last 3 years. One of those lessons being boundaries, not just boundaries for others, but for myself as well. I have also learned to trust my gut. It hasn’t steered me wrong yet. Another important lesson has been to scale down! I cannot do it all, even when I want to.

I want everyone out there to know that THEY CAN DO IT! Open that business, start new, start fresh, chase your goals and dreams. After 24 years in healthcare, I chose to leap. I waited until I was in my 40’s to transition into what I love most, Aesthetics!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many cool places in DFW that I love and would love to visit myself. One of the coolest restaurants I’ve been to recently is XOXO Dining Room in Dallas. Such a great brunch menu and wonderful atmosphere.

We definitely can’t skip out on Studio 80 in downtown Fort Worth. The best of the 80’s & 90’s DJ’s, dancing, drinks, & fun.

Gemelle in Fort Worth is also a fantastic outdoor atmosphere with a very unique menu and tasty food.

Times 10 Cellars in Dallas has some amazing wine and Charcuterie Boards. Great for a small group of friends, very quaint.

You can never go wrong with Stockyards Station in Fort Worth. So many options for a great time.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband Keith deserves so much recognition for the help in my success. He spent weeks on my storefront demo and construction. He wanted to make sure it was perfect. He has pushed and supported me along the way. He has often helped me step out of my comfort zone to achieve more than what I thought I was ready for.
