We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Bryan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I went to college and received my BBA in Marketing and Advertising in 2005….worked in corporate America for 10 years and decided that I wanted to change my career after not being able to truly flex my creative muscles while still having flexible hours to accommodate my family. I also knew that I wanted to create a work environment for others that was creative yet professional and encouraged team work daily without restricting professionals to typical work hours or rules. I decided the beauty industry was where I wanted to do this in and started my path through hair school and building my 1st salon from the ground up in 2016.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being a luxury extension artist, I often find myself believing that I am only good at one thing. That’s just not true. I have mastered my craft and continue to learn new methods and improve upon our current one. I strive to give my clients a humble and warm invite into our salon and legendary customer service. In regards to our stylists within our salons, I try to help fill in the gap for stylists from being behind the chair to marketing their work and ultimately doing what they love to do while making a great living. I am blessed to have found Hand Tied Halo Extensions and Tara! This method completely changed the game for my career and for my team!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live and grew up in a very small town in Parker County, Texas. I am neither city nor country….I fit into both worlds. We love to visit The Stockyards and eat allllll the Tex-Mex we can stand while sipping on a skinny margarita from Joe T. Garcia’s and shopping at any of the shops on Exchange. Watching live music would be top of the list and Ft Worth has some of the best live music in Texas!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to dedicate this to some of the most influential and supportive people in my life. My personal success is due to a crazy supportive husband/best friend. My husband was the one that stood by my side and encouraged me to finally take the leap to make the decision that ultimately changed our lives and led to owning 2 salon models in a small time frame. He is my constant. In my professional life, I must give this incredibly talented woman/stylist/salon owner/educator a huge shout out…Tara Hunsicker. I found her when I was looking for a different way of giving more clients what they wanted. She is the creator of Hand Tied Halo Extensions and she forever changed my life by bringing me on as an educator on her team. I am forever in debt to her for believing in me like she does!
