We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelby Huff-Gipson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shelby, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always wanted Blissful Zenn to be beneficial to not just myself or family but everyone who experienced Blissful Zenn. Everything about Blissful Zenn is peaceful & love, everyone deserves to experience both.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting my career off as an esthetician helped to tap into my peaceful mediation side that would spark my curiosity into incorporating the mind & body as one during time of service. The beauty industry have talented people across the world and I choose to stand out by focusing on clients needs outside of skin or what people see.

Dealing with my own daily life challenges being an full time mom, wife, grieving & Army Veteran I had a lot of emotions inside. Going to work helped me to clear my mind & soul organically when I wasn’t aware of how much I was internally dealing with.
As I started my journey I began branding myself with the products I made & using social media to advertise my creative work. I continued to work the spa industry to learn as much as I can about product knowledge, luxury services & most importantly learning culture & customers complaints.

My focus soon shifted to wanting my own spa to expand my services and hand made products. Telling my story it’s sounds easy but this is really an 5 year grind process with trial and turbulence. I over came challenges by knowing my purpose and not letting distractions drown my energy. Re-branding myself as a solo technician meant I mean business & I needed to own everything I was blossoming to be. For anyone stepping out on faith or uncertainty please do your research & do the work.

Blissful Zenn is all about peace & positive affirmation.

“The more you become knowledgeable the better your brand will be & never be ok with someone telling you no without learning how to get an yes”.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’re going skating my friends and family are already practicing at home. They know I’m unpredictable, I really free style a bunch of fun stuff but everyone knows I will find away too have fun, I truly enjoy the simple thing in life and spending time with them.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God first & foremost & husband help me with growing pains and encouraged me to tap into my creative side. My close circle of women Cynteshia, Chrysten ,Tanya & Elren helped me keep my creativity alive.
