We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua Wilborn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
It’s gotten better. As of April 1st, I quit my Full Time Job to work at my Part Time Job now Full Time. The Main Podcast I was doing the Uncool Urban Podcast has now disbanded and I’m focusing more on Music Mpulse and my other side podcast Shad Vs Smilez. I’m learning in real time how to find the balance because I want to workout more, read more, podcast more, spend more time on my relationships with Family, Friends and Loved Ones.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music Mpulse gives me a chance to not only meet new people in a variety of fields and industries but talk with friends and family that have backgrounds, stories, businesses and interests that I’d like to share with the world. I’m most proud of the episode I did with My Dad, Brother and Sister altogether. My Birthday episode with my best friends and mother and my Lil Ju Made Da Beat episode. I think what sets me apart from others is that not only do the episodes allow for me to get to know other people but special episodes like the ones I’ve done with Family and Friends allow for my listeners to get to know me more. Lessons that I’ve learned along the way include having to adjust to now focusing more on this Podcast as the main focus, having to re-record episodes, being consistent, importance of building relationships, etc.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Not going to lie, I’d call Apryl Danyelle or Shad to assist with this endeavor because I’m still learning about Dallas especially now that I’m just now getting more free time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to Shoutout to both of my former Uncool Urban Podcast co-hosts Shad and Tim; My Inaudibros Lo, E-Ray and Free; Brigitte Jones, Apryl Danyelle, My Parents and all the friends and supporters that have listened, promoted, been a guest on, etc.
