Meet Courtney Gregory | Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Gregory and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I would say the most important factor behind my success is having a big enough “why?”. If your “why?” is not big enough, and the opportunity cost of not pursuing your “why?” is not painful enough, I believe you need to stretch more. I believe we all have something that drives us, but you must tap into yourself to figure out what that is for you and only you.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a realtor with The Kimberly Davis Group, a woman-owned team out of Keller Williams Plano. I am most proud of the countless clients I have helped on the journey to home ownership. My success of purchasing real estate in my 20s has taught me plenty about the advantages of being a homeowner and real estate investor. Using my platform to help others achieve the same is truly fulfilling.
I got where I am today from gaining experience as a homeowner, failing forward as a realtor, and having proper mentorship to guide me along the way. It has not been an easy career. There are very long hours, lots of stress and portions of the job where the outcome is out of my control. My clients are ultimately depending on me to help them, so remaining calm, confident and knowledgeable is a big part of this career.
I would say the biggest lessons I have learned have been to protect my peace, by not being attached to the outcome and keeping my emotions in check. It’s very easy to let these factors affect my identity. The moment I let them dominate who I am, then I’m defeated. I must be intentional about these principles, so I can be whole for those I am helping.
I want the world to know that I am truly passionate about helping others achieve what I have achieved, as a homeowner and investor. Sometimes, I want these things more for those I’m helping than they want for themselves, so it’s important I help my clients see that they are worth the good they have coming their way.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting for the week, I would pray the weather was going to be that of a typical Dallas day: SUNNY!!!
If she wanted to go to brunch, I would suggest Saint Anne’s or Snooze. Staying close to my side of town, I would suggest a good patio in Legacy West. My friends and I are all about a good menu, good drinks and a good vibe.
If we were talking about lunch or dinner, nothing is tastier than either a great margarita paired with yummy Mexican or Tex-Mex. My favorite places to get this are Mia’s, Mesero or our local spot, Casa Mama.
For a good Caipirinha, one the best I’ve ever had was at Fogo de Chao (I know right!). Sushi? Can’t beat Densetsu in Plano or Uchi in Uptown.
Just bar hopping and staying young? I love The Henry, or the endless list of adorable bars along lower Greenville and Deep Ellum.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout out my support system in this journey starting with my parents, Earl and Marilynn Gordon, who always pushed me to be the best version of myself and take ownership for where I fell short. My husband, Sean, for believing in me and my goals, and allowing me the space to see what I could become. I would also like to thank my best friend, Devin Butler, for not only nominating me for this but also helping me reach beyond my fears and chasing my dream. Watching her step out on faith to start her earring business made me look inside myself and say “why not me too?”
