Meet Sharron Jordan | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharron Jordan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharron, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“Don’t ever do shoot and feel like you did not gain anything out of that if your chasing dreams you can’t expect it to be easy it’s gonna feel impossible.” – RAYSCORRUPTEDMIND. The quote to me is relatable to me because I learn something new on every shoot. I feel it’s important to keep on a open mind when chasing your dreams. I like the quote because it relatable in photography and life in general your going to have hurdles in life, and you have to honestly get through them to really see your vision when it comes to life .

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m proud of my recent project from earlier this year that was inspired by Tyler the creator Igor album. The project was fairly simple and I had the models wear only suits and we shot in a field at golden hour. It was not so easy a month and half total for finding a stylist then going look for 8 months I can say it was pretty rough but the project came out great I’m proud of it. I plan to do more project work . Lesson I learned was to create a shotlist of all the shots i needed so i plan to do this moving forward so I do not miss anything that is vital to the future projects that come. I want the world to know that your going to have your highs and your lows , and your human and it’s okay to make mistakes because no one is perfect. Life is about the experience not the perfection. As for my photography brand I am open to capturing your vision and letting my photos speak for themselves. As for my story I was 18 when I picked up my camera and gave me confidence over the years to be myself and create the work I feel, I’m very patience and eager to take on the task that slowly unfold for me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are going to Bistro B after a long week my cousin showed me that place and it’s my favorite place to eat. NorthPark mall is my favorite out here in Dallas because all the high fashion stores gives me a eager to shoot. I also enjoy velvet tacos late at night because that’s the only time I will eat and find a good boba spot to end the long week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother Shovan Jordan love my mom she always told me if I’m going to do something I enjoy doing do it to the best of my ability. A friend Brandon Goodman i met at photo meetup and i learned some much from with life and photography in general .My friend Jailane Rosales who models for me all the time when I ask her she inspiring to me to try and create something new every time I touch my camera. Lastly , I would like to shoutout my professor Ting Huang if it wasn’t for her I would not be doing photography she the one that taught the basic of my camera and printing understanding true colors , black and white. I Would not be able to finish this interview if I did not thank her again.
