We had the good fortune of connecting with Eye Moon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eye, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I had my ancestors in mind when Ancestral Terrestrial was formed. It started with the ideas of having natural products, detox products, and merchandise. Through diving more into my own personal healing post sobriety and recognizing the work that must be done on a spiritual and ancestral level in my own life, Ancestral Terrestrial has turned into something much deeper. Detox of the body is very important but as I have evolved so has my core values and my thought process of what Ancestral Terrestrial stands on. The aim is to bring awareness to how important detoxification of the body (physical and emotional), spirit & mind is and how it all ties into the need for ancestral healing.

What should our readers know about your business?
In regards to everything that we produce, sell, and create, our ancestors are in mind every step of the way and we aim to connect our customers to our each purchase on an energetic level. Outside of the products we are creating space for topics around ancestral healing and reverence. As we gain knowledge and information it is important to have a place to share it so we have made way for that to happen on our relaunched site. I’m most proud about how our products have benefited the health of others and created a community of people who trust us with their skin and their health journey. That in return has opened up so many conversations about healing and generational conditions. As our community grows we become wiser as a company and we pivot and innovate accordingly with the soaps and other products that we make.

As far as my journey in this company if it were not for my ancestors and sobriety this would not even a thing. Shout out to myself and my sobriety for enabling me to be focused long enough to found, create, and operate a company such as this. It has not been an easy ride but I can say that while a lot of companies suffered loss during the pandemic, so much room was made for Ancestral Terrestrial to get a head start because everyone needed soap during this pandemic. More people than not wanted natural products because they valued their health more than ever so we give thanks for being given the opportunity in such a time to provide our community, friends, and family with the best for their hands, faces, body, and hair.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that every calling and purpose has its time to move forward. When my company started seeing success was a matter of timing. I had already done my part. Before the pandemic I was only selling single soap bars to my neighbors, friends, and family at first, that was all the success that I needed at that time. It was in those purchases and testimonies where I grew my confidence in my products outside of using them myself. It was with those purchases that I learned what more I wanted for Ancestral Terrestrial and their word of mouth helped me with the confidence to build a website and sell my products to the world. The ultimate lesson was patience in the process to progression.

When the world sees Ancestral Terrestrial though we have products, we want them to see much more than products. We want the world to be inspired by connecting to their ancestral lineage by being the terrestrial they are & reverencing those who came before them. We desire to be an inspiration for that. We want others to understand the divine connection between them and their ancestors by the platform we are creating.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Places or Pop Ups to eat/drink would be Spiral Dinner, Vegan Vibrations, Vegan Food House, Cosmic Cafe, And Mineral Eats.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Geraldine (my mother, a dedicated nurse for 36 years) whom has stood by me with unwavering support in my journey through self identity, mental wellness, and the many endeavors that I have embarked upon. When I went through massage and aromatherapy school to ensure that I remained focused and made it to the finish, my mother pledged my rent for almost the entire time through school. While that may be something a lot of mothers would do, it was the impact of timing that was divine intervention for me. During that time is when I was battling with mental wellness yet fighting for purpose. It was in those times that I needed the support that she gave me most because those times led to my right here moment of understanding the importance of Aromatherapy more than ever. 10 years later, the seeds that she sowed and the water she poured on them have manifested into something that even further assists me on my mental health journey and helps me assist others on theirs. My mother deserves all the reverence for her dedication to my health and my success. Lastly my entire lineage of living family members and my Ancestors. It is the blood that runs through my veins and the spirit of my ascended loved ones that gives me the push to be who I am and do what I do.

Last but not least, I want to dedicate this shout-out to Iyawo Mi (my wife) Magik Gulley of www.AllThingsMagikgyal whom has been a beautiful catalyst to assisting me in creating my reality and for re-introducing me to mindfulness in a way in which was needed to bring more balance into to my life along with Ajè in spirit, mind, and currency.
