We had the good fortune of connecting with Mohammed Moosa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mohammed, what principle do you value most?
Being a loan officer, what I value most is the best interest of my borrowers. I am in this business to build lasting relationships and to do what will benefit my client(s) not only short term, but also long term. Ultimately, the goal is to have them return to me or to refer me to others.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my grit in assisting borrowers the best way I can. I like to tell those referring me, to only give me thirty minutes of their time and I will surely find a loan they will quality for. Beyond that, my company has a wide array of loan products that cater to borrowers from all walks of life. Believe it or not, I can write a home loan for as little as $50,000 to as high as $3,000,000. I can also help borrowers with down payment assistance programs and also help borrowers who are self-employed. Having the ability to provide for a large range of people and the drive to provide the best is what keeps me going.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In recent years, Dallas has stepped it up when it comes to food and entertainment. I am a huge fan of the Legacy West area in Plano and this is one of largest reasons I choose to reside here. The Legacy Hall has a plethora of options when it comes to food, so for anyone visiting, I can assure them they will surely find something suiting their taste buds. A few other places to add are Klyde Warren Park with its food truck options, the Fort Worth Stockyards to get a taste of Texas, and the Bishop Arts District for its boutique-like shops and artsy culture.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The one commodity I was and still am beyond blessed with is that I was and am surrounded by people who have helped me work on my craft to grow not only as a loan officer, but also as a person. These people include Sara Parker, Christian Johnson, and Al Murad. Sara brought me into the business as her production partner. Christian has been in the business for 20 years and bestowed great knowledge upon me; my very own Mr. Miyagi. And lastly, Al Murad, my previous boss, who is a great leader and someone who always pushed me to bring out the best in myself allowing me to find a new drive I did not know I had until I began working for him.
