Meet CeCe Godbolt | Gospel Recording Artist & Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with CeCe Godbolt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CeCe, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am a native of in Camden, Arkansas. I came from a musical family; my father was a singer. I inherited his gift of singing and love of music. I started singing at the age of 5 and knew that God had called me to use my voice to minister to people from all backgrounds and walks of life. I attended Zion Hill Baptist Church where I sung in the sunbeam choir and junior choir. By the time I entered high school, my singing afforded me opportunities to travel. And in college I was part of the interdenominational Ensemble (IDE). My mom instilled in me the necessity to remain humble and that has definitely made a major impact on who I am today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Gospel Recording Artist & Actress! What sets me apart from others: I always do CeCe and never try to be like anyone else. I am fearfully and wonderfully made in God’s Image and my desire in all of this is to reach the least, lost and the broken through ministry. Heaven rejoices over one soul and if I can do it through my singing and acting, I know that I am fulfilling God’s will for my life. If I can be transparent, the road has NOT been easy. I have had some ups and downs, doors closed, setbacks and trust in people. Unfortunately, nothing that you do in life is going to come easy. The enemy will always try to stop you but through my trials and tribulations, I have had to fully trust GOD (Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with All thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding but in all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct my path). I also had to learn to forgive and realize that not everyone has ill intentions. For any up and coming artist eagered to enter the music and/or entertainment industry, seek God for direction. Be comfortable with small beginnings; don’t always look to the only sing or act in front of a large crowd. God’s glory can fall anywhere. Your heart must be in ministry for the right reason. You must remain consistent and God will reward you in due time. Trust me, I know! Maintaining a consistent prayer life is very important. Remember, God, can’t use you when you’re in self. If you do it God’s way, it will all work out the way he has designed it to be. Don’t be too prideful to seek help when you need it. And never give up on something YOU know GOD has called you to do. I thank God for the people he has placed in my life to pray for me and with me. Don’t be too prideful to seek help when you need it. And never give up on something YOU know GOD has called you to do. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!! Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to my favorite restaurant, Pappadeaux Seafood! Harry Hines for a little shopping at Sam Moons! Trinity Grove to the Cake Bar for a delicious slice of Strawberry cake! End the night with some smooth Jazz Music!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I give credit for my success in ministry first and foremost to God because if it wasn’t for him, none of this would be possible. My mom also, who is my biggest supporter, fan and prayer warrior. I am so grateful that she instilled in me the necessity to remain humble no matter how far I go in my career. My Pastor, Dr. Kwesi Kamau and my Impact Church family who always supports and prays for me. My Hometown Camden Arkansas family and friends and I cannot forget my Zion Hill Church Family where it all started!! Lastly, my King Dalton Domingue, Jr., who is everything to me, motivates, supports, protects and encourages me. My prayer partner!! . He never hinders my ministry. We work together as one and I thank God for blessing me with a good Christian Man of God! My #1 Fan!!!
