Meet Christy St Andre | Herbalist/Apothecary, Certified Fitness, Wellness, Health & Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy St Andre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christy, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I have been obsessed with researching EVERYTHING my entire life. I remember back in the 90’s, when I was in my late teens, I had to get an antibiotic for tonsillitis. I literally bought a super thick book titled “prescriptions”, then read everything that I could about what I was prescibed. Over the next few months I read that entire book, simply because I wanted to be completely informed with any and all information regarding any prescription that might ever be prescribed for myself or anyone that I knew. Fast forward to years later, in 2009, when I became completely against the “Big Pharma” industry, after recognizing that all prescriptions not only had side effects, but that it seemed that anytime I took a prescription, I was the small percentage that that had even the the least likely ones. This is when I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, and found out that I was gluten intolerant. I had been put on prescriptions, via doctors specializing in a plethora of ailments, for years trying to help all of my (almost debilitating) health issues. Then to find out that all along I was simply unable to process gluten and it was slowly destroying my organs and causing massive havoc within my entire body, that triggered every issue that I’d been experiencing for many many years. Since that time period, my research became laser focused on all using all natural remedies, eating clean real food, and using plants, herbs, oils and homeopathic routes for a healthier way of life. This “obsession with research” has proven to be one of my biggest allies since people who know me, trust my products simply because they know the due dilligence that I put into everything that goes on and into my (and my families) body; and now into all of my company’s products. Everything that I formulate is also used and consumed by my entire family of 5.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have been formulating my own skin care, for face and body, for MANY years now. One morning in the Summer of 2024, for no actual reason that I was aware of, I decided to get an LLC. I tend to be quite sporadic and many times throughout life just doing randoms things off a “gut feeling” yet having nothing tangible to go off of. For instance, in July of 2017, I decided to go back to school, of sorts, to get a fitness and nutrition certification. Becsause these courses aligned with the life that I was already living, I wanted these certs for my own knowledge, never planning to do anything professional with them. I fell in love with and flew through these courses, then continued to get certified in similar areas, i.e. wellness, life, health and some psychology certifications. In October of 2017, while in my life’s previous career of being a professional nanny, I found out that I would be adopting my then niece and nephew within a fiscal year. This made me realize that I would need to be a present parent to my future children and that my nanny career would need to come to an end. Because God had planted the seed of getting other certifications, I had already set myself up for my new career, owning and running Health N Fitness Junky TX. For the next several years, I was a professional coach in health, fitness, nutrition and wellness, plus doing professional food prep for clients. I feel this scenario is similar to where I am now. In 2024, after more of my incessant researching, I recognized the many benefits of herbal tinctures, the immense healing powers of the rosemary plant and the health benefits of juicing. In making these various homeopathic remedies and healthy concoctions for myself and family, I would also offer everything that I was making to like-minded friends. This was not a side hustle, but simply something that I was already doing for myself and family, so why not share with those also wanting to try new routes to healing. In January of 2025 my husband, Mike, had a life threatening heart attack (the widow maker, 100% blockage). At that time in life, I was recovering from a surgery that I’d had 2 weeks prior. In general life, I was also mostly focused on being a full time stay at home mom, wife, our home/property manager and continuing to make herbal based concoctions to assist in keeping my little family healthy and free of sickness. Our lives were completely haulted and changed drastically after his heart attack, as he had to relearn everything because of brain trauma caused by lack of oxygen while receiving CPR for 30 minutes. During the following 4 months he was in full-time rehabilitation and I had to step up to help run his “sole-ownership” company. I stayed overwhelmed and in a fight or flight mode, just trying to get from day to day while juggling everything. To keep my sanity and in trying to stay on my clean living path, I still tried to do things that I enjoyed; juicing, making my own skincare and tons of research every chance that I had. In April 2025 I was making my typical face and body oil and lotion. I had tried and been researching beef tallow for facial/body care for awhile and decided to make my own formulation of it with the essential oils that I typically add to my face care routine. Once I whipped up my 1st batch of “miracle whip” tallow and used it for a week, I felt as if I’d hit the jackpot, for my own skins’ health. My skin had never looked so amazing and I couldn’t get over how smooth it was. Then one morning I felt God talking to me and saying, “Remember that LLC? Now, it’s time to use it, you are about to be a new company owner and your 1st product is this Miracle Whip!” So, I bought me a simple label maker (the one that I still use), whipped up a few jars to share on Facebook to anyone who might also want to see if an all clean skincare route was for them. The next thing that I know, days, weeks and months have passed. Fast forward to current life, I’ve created a website for my items to sell and I have over 20 different ‘Clean Life Creations’ (by Health N Fitness Junky TX) products. All are available locally in Van Alstyne and are being shipped all over the U.S. In less than 4 months I’ve hit about $8,500-$9,000 in retail sales, (which isn’t too bad considering my prices are very reasonable, so that they are affordable on most any budget). I’ve used this income to reinvest into and expand my company, replenish supplies, sponsor many organizations for my children’s schools, pay for a good portion of our families summer vacation activities, plus many kid related items. All from my own Facebook advertisement and word of mouth (which has been EVERYTHING for my products and brand). My Clean Life Creations are in 5 local brick and mortars and I stay busy whipping up my small batches of products to locally deliver, get picked up from my home or shipped out daily. To say that feel insanely blessed is an understatement. I plan to continue to modestly grow, yet stay a one woman show, whipping up my simple, non-toxic and clean ingredients products for wellness inside and out. Every day is a reminder that God is great and that God always has a plan for us, even when we have no idea of what’s to come, or how we could “become”, when we step out in faith and just go with our gut.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend came into town we would definitely grab my daughter, Zoey, then have a day of self-care. First, we’d stop into Coco Wellness Spa in Anna, TX for facials with my girl, Angel Willaby, who is the best esthetician around. Then get massages at Envy Salon in Van Alstyne, TX with Jessica Shafer, who will find all of the stress in your body and release it, so that you feel like conquering the day once the massage is complete. We might even step in for a quick adjustment at Spark Life Chiropractic in Anna, TX, chat it up with the delightful staff, then grab a sincere hug from Flint, the chiropractor. Next, why not do a little small town boutique shopping at Fifty One 75 Clothing Co. since they have the cutest apparel and accessories in Van Alstyne? If we feel like getting all prettied up with some hair pampering, we have so many local options to chose from. A+M Artistry Luxury Hair Studio with my girls, Ashley McDaniel and Margarita Leon; with my gal, Lauren Roberts at Salon Head To Toe, or with Paiton Parks at Envy Salon. All of these ladies are exceptional at their craft of creating beautiful hair. Since school is currently in session for my teen kiddos, if it’s Fall, most likely we’d catch some Van Alstyne Panthers freshman football at the stadium, to watch my son, Jack, show off his fast running back and blocking skills. If it’s basketball season, we’d cheer on both of my sons, Jack and Jax, at their High School games. And every day we’d listen to my Zoey sing while swinging on the back yard tree swing and watch her dance to all of her favorite music around the pool, like she typically does every day after school. I love being a hands on and very present mom for my children in everything that they love to do. And even more, I enjoy sharing my love for my family of 5 with my everyone around me. We are all extremely blessed with closeness, even through the teenage years.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think that the book ‘Clean Energy’ by Casey Means is an incredible book that literally everyone on the planet should read or listen to on Audible. The books author is brilliant and highly accredited for her in depth research and knowledge in both the pharmaceutical industry and everything that’s is wrong with Western medicine.
