Meet SunShine Tha Goddess | Artist, Author & Healing Facilitator

We had the good fortune of connecting with SunShine Tha Goddess and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SunShine, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Choosing how I define success, on my terms, has been the most important factor in my journey. Success isn’t follower counts or flashy numbers (though that’s sweet too). It’s about how faithfully I respond to my calling. It’s honoring the story I carry and bringing it into song, ceremony, and community.
As SunShine Tha Goddess, I’m a singer-songwriter, author, and healer. My music isn’t just entertainment, it’s affirmation, testament, and sometimes prayer. Whether I’m performing, leading inner child healing circles, or sharing live sound healing, my voice becomes the bridge for others to find their own.
For me, success is about awakening voices that have been silenced, modeling sovereignty and creating spaces where enough-ness is the origin point, not the destination.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is born from survival and shaped by spirit. I’m a vocalist, a storyteller, and a community healer who uses music as medicine. What sets me apart is the way I weave healing into everything I create. I don’t just sing, I guide people back to themselves through my voice, through curated affirmations, and through sacred sound. My live sets feel like ritual meets revival because for me, the stage is a space of remembering.
I’m most proud of how I’ve turned my pain into power. The grief, the trauma, the family ruptures I alchemized it. Instead of hiding those pieces, I built platforms where others can find language for their own inner child healing, nervous system regulation, and emotional intelligence growth. My series like Sacred Self Talk and Moonlight Memoirs aren’t just content, they’re movement work.
I got here through surrender and divine strategy. I listened to the call even when it didn’t make sense on paper. I kept showing up, even when no one clapped. Now, I don’t chase platforms, I create them. And I’m deeply grateful for every soul who finds resonance in what I offer. I don’t perform to impress. I sing to awaken. Measuring success by how many hearts I help reclaim their voice.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When someone visits me in DFW, I want them to feel both grounded and inspired—like they’re walking through a soul activation in real time.
We’d start with a lunch at Jamaica Mi Hungry, where the food is seasoned with culture and care. Then we’d tap into creativity at In Living Colour Studio, followed by an outdoor moment—maybe walking at Cedar Ridge Preserve or exploring River Legacy Nature Center.
Midweek, we’d dive into The Dock Bookshop for one of their drum circles or catch a Geeky Girls DFW event. That’s where they’d witness community magic in motion. If there’s a Spokeneasy underground event or live music night at The Freeman, we’re there soaking up vibes, stories, and soul.
We’d close the week with a recording session with Recka or journaling in nature. That’s what DFW feels like to me: ancestral wisdom, modern rhythm, and sacred space—everywhere.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a deep and genuine shoutout to J. Savage—my manager, my sister-friend, and a force of nature in the entertainment industry. J. Savage has been navigating this business since we were kids, and her work ethic, vision, and unwavering support have been instrumental in my journey. She crosses all the T’s, dots all the I’s, and makes sure I’m not just heard, but seen in the right spaces.
She’s one of those rare people who believes in you with their actions, not just their words. Every stage I’ve stepped on, every opportunity I’ve received, she’s had a hand in opening the door or helping me walk through it prepared. Her guidance continues to be one of my greatest gifts.
I also want to honor my parents, evolution partners and the many community leaders who poured into me along the way—each of them helped plant and protect the seeds that are blooming in my work today.
