We had the good fortune of connecting with Thalia Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Thalia, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
My Name is Thalia Rodriguez, I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Tx.

I am a proud daughter of immigrants.

My parents immigrated from a small ranch in Jalisco, Mexico to the United States.

Regardless of the language barriers, the cultural differences, and discrimination, they loved this country and were determined to chase the American Dream.

I was raised in a chaotic household; I have 5 siblings. My father worked at a factory day in and day out with very low pay. We lived in poverty yes; but never did we suffer from hunger or questioned if we would have somewhere to sleep.

I truly believe that having a rough upbringing and witnessing first-hand my father’s work ethic, drive & determination to make anything happen made me the hard working, determined and selfless person I am today.

I am proud of my upbringing but even more proud of the Mexican heritage that lives within me; with out it I wouldn’t have what I do now.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Going in to the Beauty Industry as a Brow Artist truly felt like an unattainable career.
How could I make a living doing eyebrows? There’s just no way.

Little did I know – women were star struck by my talent, when I first started doing brows there wasn’t many people in my area offering brow enhancing services, I was able to set my self apart by starting at the perfect time; shortly after these brow enhancing services started to blow up all over social media.

My approach when building my clientele and trying to make a name for myself in this industry was always “people have to love something beyond your talent & services” they have to love YOU too.

I’ve led this business with my heart on my sleeve. Remembering every day that the women who walk in to my salon chose ME as their service provider.

What keeps them coming back? My authenticity, my talent, them knowing they’re not just another dollar sign in my chair. They’re my friends, my cheerleaders. They trust me with their hardest moment to their happiest. Witnessing their growth, their life-altering events, and their accomplishments is the most rewarding thing this career allows me to do.

My demand got so high I had a waitlist of 70+ people at one point. During this time I thought, how can I bring people the same experience/work without it being me?

That’s when I created The Brow Studio, I hired and trained 2 brow artist who had the talent & drive that I did. We’ve now gone from a one-woman show to a successful full on Brow Specialty Salon, winning DFW FAVORITES 2025!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would Grab a bite & drink at Buffalo Bros
Hang out & walk around downtown/sundance square

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shout out goes to my family, & my husband. The Brow Studio wouldn’t exist if they wouldn’t have believed & encouraged me the way they did.
