We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Becky Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Becky, what matters most to you?
“We Before Me” is the value that guides my decisions in business and leadership.

When I operate from a mindset of scarcity, I think small. I hesitate. I turn inward and make decisions based on fear—limiting beliefs about myself and the need to protect what I have. But when I live out We Before Me, everything shifts.

It means making decisions that serve the greater good, not just my own interests. It means building a brand that elevates everyone, not just my name. It means leading with service, creating safety, and ensuring alignment. It recognizes that 20 people rowing together will always move farther and faster than one person rowing alone.

It also means making hard decisions with people in mind, not just profitability or self-preservation. It’s choosing long-term impact over short-term comfort.

We Before Me is not about sacrificing myself—it’s about creating something bigger than myself. It’s about staying unapologetically aligned to our mission, believing we are better together, and challenging the idea that success is a solo pursuit.

This principle is a non-negotiable. I’ve seen its power in my business and my life, and I believe it is our greatest advantage.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
In the fall of 2019, I founded Genesis PT & Wellness, a holistic pelvic floor therapy practice with a team of specialty physical therapists, occupational therapists, and birth doulas. Our mission is to change the way pelvic floor therapy is presented, understood, and utilized across all stages of life.

Genesis isn’t just another pelvic floor clinic—we are leading a movement. We’re setting a new standard for women’s health by taking a root-cause approach rather than just treating symptoms. We believe no one should have to suffer through incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy-related discomfort, or any of the challenges that are too often dismissed as “normal.” Our clinic is known as the place where people finally get answers, find relief, and experience lasting change—even when no one else could help.

What started as a solo practice in 2019 has now grown into a team of over 20 women in less than five years. But this journey hasn’t been easy. We’ve faced challenges, growing pains, and moments of uncertainty. Yet, we’ve overcome them together—because we believe in what we’re building.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Be bold and stay aligned. I was called to lead this team, this mission, and this movement for a reason—so who am I to play small? The more we lean into our purpose, the more impact we create.

If there’s one message I want the world to hear, it’s this: You don’t have to suffer. There are answers. And we would love to help you find them.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love the Fort Worth Stockyards! I would stay at Hotel Drover, and enjoy their pool, restaurant and spa!!! I would go country dancing, and take a horseback ride!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My story wouldn’t exist without the incredible team beside me. Genesis is what it is today because of these women—leaders who wholeheartedly believe in our vision and bring our mission to life every single day. Their dedication, passion, and commitment are the heartbeat of this company.

I also couldn’t step fully into my role as Founder & CEO without the unwavering support of my husband, Phillip. He has been my constant source of encouragement, believing in this calling and pushing me to step into it boldly.
