Meet LaNese Brown

We had the good fortune of connecting with LaNese Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi LaNese, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
If that dream keeps you up at night, if it makes you feel fulfilled or if you know for sure it’s your purpose, then you NEVER stop. Adversity and opposition comes whether you pursue your dreams or not so never take the challenges as an indication to quit! It’s only when you know or feel out of alignment should you quit, but other than that don’t let anything or anyone stop you!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I started out in 2016 as an entrepreneur getting my own salon. Prior to that I started inspirational speaking and mentoring four years prior . The fact that I started doing this as a 24 year old young woman is enough to let your mind grasp all of the things and challenges I faced being that age and pursuing all that I was . I wanted to know how I could somehow have an umbrella and sort of have everything under one big tent if that makes sense lol, so I began having my mentees come to one of the rooms in my salon to have coaching sessions. I still didn’t know how to incorporate my speaking so between 2017 and 2021 I started including different services for my salon as well as expanding it into a salon and boutique. 2022 I launched my annual conference named Impact because my salon needed its own identity and everything else did as well I felt . 2024 I launched IMPACT The Lifestyle as a company and brand after completing my third year of my conference and doing so much with Impact including community outreach , feeding the community and now life coaching in groups etc I felt it was time to take it further. I also completed my first ten city tour as a speaker along side a very successful and well known speaker in 2024 so impact was further developed and represented my lifestyle and not just an annual conference! Doing all of this as a single mom of the most amazing kid is definitely challenging sometimes but I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Everything thing I do my goal is to be IMPACTFUL! 2025 opens the door to complete my masters in psychology and take Impact the Lifestyle even further as well a couple more entrepreneurial ventures!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Let’s just say being in my mid thirties my interest has changed lol. For one brunch is a must so RH Rooftop is a must ! For some reason I’m loving art museums now so one of those ! There’s a wine train that includes charcuterie boards and snacks that we most definitely need! Live music is a must and there’s a couple places I love ! My newest favorite is a place downtown Deep Ellum called Freeman’s that has some AMAZING local singers ! There a place that lets you make your own perfume and a local wine tasting that we’d have to try! We have to incorporate some good fun so bowling or somewhere our inner child can let loose and we have to have a night in where we cook sip wine and just talk about our lives! In case no one knows I love wine! Lol

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The first year I launched my annual conference my BONUS put her hand in my back and pushed me beyond my limits. She never tried to alter my vision and the reassurance she always gave made me feel like I could conquer the world and now I’m in my fourth year of my conference! Thank you Coach T!
