Meet Gabriel Hill | Actor & Voiceover Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriel Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriel, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
My favorite quote is from Zechariah 4:10, which says, ‘Don’t despise the day of small beginnings.’ This means that, instead of looking too far ahead and worrying about what’s to come, we should focus on what’s already happening and enjoy the journey. Things always work out in God’s timing; we just need to relax and have faith in the process. I love this quote because it rings true for all the things I’ve overcome as an actor and as a recent graduate. Although I’m not yet at the place I want to be, I know the journey has just begun, and there is much more for me to learn.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Gabriel D. Hill, and I’m a local DFW actor and creative. My journey began at Roberta Tipps Elementary School, where I was first introduced to theatre. I remember the thrill and excitement of performing on stage in front of others for the first time. That energy has since driven me to grow into the actor I am today. From being nominated for a DSM in high school to winning two awards for Best Lead and Best Supporting Actor in a college play, God has continued to make strides in my life post-graduation. I’ve been signed to the Campbell Agency, cast in a Jubilee play, and booked gigs in commercials, films, and voiceovers. My journey to achieving these things wasn’t easy—it took a lot of patience, prayer, and faith. The biggest lesson I’ve learned from all of this is that everything happens for a reason: the connections, the classes, the long nights. These are the experiences I had to walk through to prepare me for my future. I want everyone to know that this is just the beginning for me, and I hope to grow further in my skills and eventually catch everyone at a theatre show or a future movie premiere.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take people to the blacktop, rodeo goat, and flying saucer to grab a bite. They all equally have their own great burgers, sides, shakes, and all. If you ate at one of these places, you would leave walking out with a heavier stomach. Other places I’d take them to that I feel like they would enjoy for entertainment are the Meow Wolf Museum, escape rooms, and the Texas State Fair.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a special shoutout to Michill Entertainment for giving me a platform to express myself and expand my gifts. This company is the greatest example of making quality films while continuing to uphold moral standards. I’ve been on many sets around the DFW, and Michill Entertainment is, by far, one of the best. The energy is unmatched, it’s very welcoming, and though everyone is treated as a family, it never loses its professionalism. Texas officials and all local actors and filmmakers should pour into this company so we can create a new Hollywood in Texas. I hope that shortly, MHE will be a production company that provides many opportunities for all DFW actors and directors.
