We had the good fortune of connecting with Elodie Mwamba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elodie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my real estate business is my faith. My faith is the foundation of who I am personally and the driving force behind my real estate business. It inspires me to believe in the impossible and motivates me to work tirelessly to make it possible. I firmly believe that faith and work go hand in hand—faith without work is meaningless, and work without faith lacks vision. Together, they fuel not only my business journey but also every other area of my life, enabling me to serve others with purpose, determination, and a clear sense of mission

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and have worked in culturally diverse schools in urban districts for over 10 years. I am incredibly proud of this accomplishment because it wasn’t easy for me. As an emergent bilingual, I barely spoke English 20 years ago. Overcoming language barriers and the social challenges that come with them required immense perseverance, but with God’s guidance, I was able to achieve my goals. I hope my story inspires immigrants and other underrepresented populations who struggle with English to realize that through hard work, commitment, and dedication, anything is possible.

After earning my doctorate, I explored other passions, including real estate, and became a realtor. I later delved into data science at the University of Texas at Austin. I thrive on learning, especially when it’s something I’m passionate about—it excites me and keeps me motivated. This drive has shaped my journey and helped me build a career that reflects my diverse interests.

What sets me apart is my determination to pursue everything I’m passionate about with my best effort. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way is that life is always ‘me vs. me.’ I focus on becoming a better version of myself every day. My dear Uncle Laurent’s words have always stayed with me: ‘The greater the sacrifice, the bigger the reward.’

If God places you in a position to achieve something, lean on Him and go for it. That’s what I want the world to know about me and my business—I approach every challenge with faith, resilience, and a commitment to excellence, and I encourage others to do the same.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I’d plan an unforgettable week showcasing the best entertainment, history, sports, and nightlife the region has to offer.

We’d start by exploring the Fort Worth Stockyards, where they can experience the iconic cattle drive and get a taste of Texas culture. Then, we’d visit the JFK Memorial and Dealey Plaza in Dallas to take in some important history.

For sports fans, we’d catch a Cowboys football game, a Dallas Mavericks basketball game, or a Texas Rangers baseball game to soak up the energy of Dallas sports fans. If time permits, we’d also attend a college football game at SMU—it’s a must-see for any football enthusiast.

At night, we’d dive into the vibrant nightlife. We’d check out Double D’s, Whiskey’s, and other hotspots along Greenville Avenue, exploring my favorite spots to unwind and enjoy great music and company.

If the Texas State Fair happens to be in session, we’d absolutely spend a day there enjoying the rides, games, and famous fried food creations—it’s a one-of-a-kind experience!

This itinerary would give my friend a perfect mix of history, fun, sports, and Texas charm, ensuring his/her trip to Dallas-Fort Worth is nothing short of amazing

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a special shoutout to Dr. V and my team leader, Paula Sanders. Under Dr. V’s leadership, I’ve grown tremendously as a professional and a leader by staying in tune with myself. While I’m not yet where I need to be, I’ve made significant progress thanks to his guidance. I feel he doesn’t receive enough recognition for his incredible leadership, and I want to acknowledge the positive impact he’s had on my journey.

Paula is an amazing team leader who has been instrumental in helping me and my teammates elevate our business. She shares insightful tips and lessons from her own experiences, including past mistakes, so we can avoid similar challenges. Even though she sometimes feels like she’s not doing enough for us, her impact is greater than she realizes. Her dedication and support inspire us to reach new heights every day.
