Meet Corrie Courville | Owner Beauty Balance Esthetics / Licensed Esthetician Cosmetic Tattoo Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Corrie Courville and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Corrie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Taking the plunge of starting one’s own business comes after careful deliberation of risk versus reward. While paying your dues and learning the industry ins and outs it’s easy to accumulate a list of ways to improve aspects from client experience to staff management and beyond. My clientele following and list of improvements got so long knew I was ready to level up the experience for everyone involved.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
After working as a make up artist for years, the compelling bottom line that broke my heart as how women actually truly felt about the way they look and feel without the façade of a full face of make up. The deficit of guidance in effective skin care and all of the trial and error that clients experience while trying to solve their own skincare problems is astounding. People just want to look and feel good. Transitioning into being a licensed skin care therapist I am able to truly restore peoples confidence in their own true skin, reducing fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne, etc. I’m here to meet people where they are at with no judgment and provide real science and solutions with a game plan of professional services and affordable effective transdermal products at home. I’ve always been fascinated with body modification, and my background as a makeup artist was an easy transition into cosmetic tattoo. Imagine waking up at only taking five minutes to get ready because your skin is amazing & your eyeliner and your eye eyebrows and your lips are already on! I’m here to educate, guide and enhance just keeping Dallas beautiful one day at a time! Balancing economic flows of acquisition and attrition are always part of the industry, but it is so worth it to hang in there! Every day is so rewarding truly helping people. 15 years a licensed skin therapist; what I’ve learned along the way is to truly meet people where they are at and listen to them!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas is massive with many diverse districts offering different aspects of culture. If I were to entertain out of town guests we would definitely have a mixture of live music, amazing food, shopping, and sightseeing. Of course I would treat my guest to a pampering day at my spa, conveniently located right next to the galleria Dallas for shopping followed by phenomenal food, favorite spots like Uchi or Wade’s Landing. We would definitely hit up TK‘s Comedy Club for some laughs and then go out for dancing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my adoring husband. On our first date I expressed the desire to either go solo or back into other ventures. He sold me on going for it! Twelve years later I am able to still curate personal and business growth because of his support.
