We had the good fortune of connecting with Dj Taylol and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DJ Taylol, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I find joy in creating memorable experiences for others. There’s something truly rewarding about knowing that my music is the reason people are enjoying themselves, dancing, and vibing. I love the energy of the edm and club scene, where people come to hear great music, and I’m proud to be part of that atmosphere. My music taste is diverse, and I’m open to all genres, which allows me to connect with a wide range of people.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people through music, creating an atmosphere where everyone can vibe and have a great time. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come, not just as a DJ but as someone who’s built a unique connection with my audience. I’m excited to bring a wide variety of genres to the table, including EDM, Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, and playing Weddings. The journey hasn’t been easy, there were plenty of obstacles and challenges along the way, but perseverance and a true love for what I do kept me moving forward. I’ve learned that consistency, adaptability, and staying true to my passion are key to overcoming setbacks. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I’m all about authenticity, energy, and creating real moments through music. My story is one of dedication, growth, good vibes, and always staying open to new experiences and sounds.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d kick things off with some amazing food, hitting up places like Mike’s Chicken for some comfort food, Kickin’ Krab for seafood with a fun vibe, and K-Town in Carrollton for some great Korean food. To get a stunning view of the city, we’d visit the Trinity River Bridge—it’s the perfect spot to take in the whole skyline. For a fun night out, we’d definitely stop by KTV for some karaoke, great food, and good vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A huge shoutout to my close friends who have been there from the very beginning, supporting my DJ journey ever since I walked into Guitar Center and bought my first DJ controller. Also shoutout to the DJs and promoters I’ve met along the way. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with so many incredible people in this industry, all of whom share the same passion and drive, and are truly authentic.
