We had the good fortune of connecting with Glorya Bolden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi GLORYA, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
“I started my business for a few key reasons, and one of the most important is to make a meaningful difference for grandparents who find themselves raising their grandchildren. This demographic faces unique challenges that are often overlooked by society. There’s an assumption that grandparents are simply here to ‘spoil’ grandchildren or play a small supporting role, but the reality is much more complex. These grandparents are stepping up in ways that go beyond societal expectations, often without the resources or recognition they deserve. I want to highlight these challenges, offer support, and work to shift how society views their contributions.
Another motivation is creating a legacy for my family. It’s important to me to build something lasting that can continue to help and inspire the next generation. Leaving a legacy means creating something meaningful, not just for myself or my family, but for a whole community of people who need hope, guidance, and real solutions.”
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is a unique blend of wisdom passed down from my mother, a relentless drive to stand out, and a deep desire to make a lasting impact. My mother’s guidance instilled in me the courage to embrace creativity and pursue excellence, and this has fueled my lifelong passion for finding innovative solutions that uplift others. I have an innate love for both business and philanthropy, and I’m always working toward a vision where humanity thrives as it was meant to. This pursuit of purpose and growth is at the heart of everything I do.
I’m most energized by the next creation and evolution of what’s in my heart. I thrive on possibilities—the thrill of making dreams come to life and seeing the joy of those who will benefit from them. What excites me most is the chance to take ideas and visions that exist in the minds of others and help transform them into reality. Watching others get excited about what we can build together is incredibly rewarding and keeps me inspired to push boundaries and bring fresh possibilities to life. I equally proud of seeing my own creations evolve into something completely unheard of.
“How did I get to where I am today? That’s a loaded question! (Haha.) If you had asked me that a decade ago, my perspective on success would have been very different from what it is today. Professionally, I am where I am because I’ve learned to listen to my own heart. I believe that our hearts lead us in many ways—through people, places, and experiences—and I’ve followed that inner guidance.
I’ve also come to respect the process it takes for success to evolve organically, without forcing it. Every professional relationship, whether positive or challenging, has been a crucial part of my journey. These experiences, each in their own way, have shaped who I am as a professional and have taught me to value the growth that comes from both the highs and the lows. It’s a journey I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Was it easy? Absolutely not. But it was worth it. I love the quote by Art Williams: “I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy – I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.” I believe that Adversity is one our greatest teachers and coaches in life when trying to accomplish anything. Adversity builds the endurance, strength you need to keep going. It is the stuff that helps you get your “stuff” together. “I overcame my challenges by getting my ‘stuff’ together and taking control of my journey. Adversity kept me engaged—it pushed me to keep learning, to research more, to make wise choices, to manage my time effectively, and to establish the right alliances. Through these experiences, I was able to define my ‘why.’
My biggest lesson: That ‘why’ isn’t for anyone else; it’s deeply personal. It’s the anchor that keeps you steady when barriers appear, reminding you not to back down. Instead, it empowers you to find creative ways to hurdle over obstacles, using every resource you have at hand. It’s this resilience and clarity that have fueled my progress, even in the face of tough challenges. Second biggest: If you are willing. There is a way. Third: Write your own definition of success. The fourth lesson is the most valuable one because your profits hinges on this lesson:
If you don’t succeed, it’s because you chose not to proceed.”
This emphasizes the idea that success often hinges on the decision to keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles. It’s a powerful reminder that perseverance is key. It’s literally like take all of your worth and transferring it to someone else.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story? I am unlike anyone you will ever meet in your entire life! I love the quote by Coco Chanel: In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. My brand and my story are one in the same.
Simply put it is: I share my vibrant personality shaped by a single mother’s teachings of faith, creativity, and community as the primary resources to drive personal pursuit of dreams into a success model. I inspire others to heal from past traumas through self-awareness and logical communication as we evolve together.”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
“I attribute much of my success to the countless words of wisdom from my mother, who, despite no longer being with me on this earth, remains my source of strength. Her guidance continues to shape my journey, fueling my resilience and grounding me in the values she instilled. Her legacy lives on in everything I do. It’s the simple yet powerful examples of wisdom that my mother shared that continue to guide me every day. Her words and lessons resonate deeply, so much so that I’m now compiling them into a book titled God Has a Voice Like Mom. Through her voice, I found strength, resilience, and purpose. Even though she’s no longer with me physically, her presence and teachings remain a constant source of inspiration in my life.”
