We had the good fortune of connecting with Candyy Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candyy, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose to pursue this career because I was deeply moved by the way artists showcased their craft every time they stepped onto the stage to perform. From the lyrics and ad libs to the kicks, bass, and melodic elements in each song, their music evoked emotions in me like nothing else ever had. It brought me a sense of peace and happiness that I wanted to share with the world. I envisioned providing artists a platform to master their craft and helping them move closer to their dreams and goals, so that others could see and hear the same beauty and passion that I did.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is the genuine love and support I provide for everyone, both on and off the stage. I truly back every artist who performs, offering constructive feedback to help them grow and move closer to their goals and dreams. It fills me with joy and excitement to see artists express their life experiences through music and to give them a voice in a world that often tries to silence them.

My journey as a promoter, emcee and manager has not been easy, especially as a woman in this field, which comes with many obstacles. However, I keep my head held high and continue moving forward because my vision is much larger than myself. I strive to maintain a positive mindset, work hard to improve every day, and prioritize my mental and physical health so I can lead effectively and authentically, no matter what challenges arise.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned a lot, from learning to speak up and how to carry myself, how to build a name for myself and the respect deserved, including who truly supports me and who does not. While some people may smile to your face but betray you behind your back, I believe in pushing forward and turning every loss into a win. Every lesson is a stepping stone toward becoming better, and the only way to get better is to do better.

When people encounter me or my team, I want them to feel the love and support we bring into every room. We come from diverse backgrounds, each with a powerful testimony, and together we can inspire and assist those who share our same dreams and vision. We are LNM— LIVE IN MOTION, we never giving up, we keep growing and push each other for greatness. We have a purpose and will achieve all that is destined for us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dallas offers an abundance of activities, from exploring Deep Ellum and downtown Dallas to visiting the Shops at Legacy. These are all fantastic spots for hanging out, eating, drinking, or shopping. The city is filled with hidden gems just waiting to be discovered if you’re with the right people. You can have a blast anywhere you go, whether it’s taking an electric bike tour around the city at night, enjoying brunch in Uptown Dallas, or visiting the Stockyards in Fort Worth. The possibilities in the DFW area are endless.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Those who deserve credit for helping me through my journey include, first and foremost, my team, LNM SQUAD. I am also immensely grateful to my mentors Dirt Beats, DJ KS, Pskillz, Robert Lopez, PFL, Haynlaatina Divaent, Mr. Pookie (Crook For Life), Money Hungry Cash Flow Empire, Racecarshawty (PURENT) , Boujiee B, Crystal and my best friend YMG Marques. Lastly, my biggest supporters, my family, have been instrumental in shaping me into the strong, ambitious woman I am today (especially my mother). I am thankful for each of these individuals and many others I haven’t mentioned, as they have stood by me through all the ups and downs. When I was lost, they guided me in the right direction, helping to create the determined and destined-for-greatness woman I am today.
