We had the good fortune of connecting with 2mrrw and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi 2mrrw, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Taking a “risk” plays a vital role in achieving goals that seem extremely difficult.
Risks and passion go hand in hand. When you are passionate about a goal or mission the risk are there as a follow up to hold you true to that passion.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My willingness to be vulnerable and authentic about my upbringing, my personal woes, and my intimate relationship with women, and my beliefs.
In a society and industry where conformity is a key to success, I like to go the audacious route. My story is unique and I must honor that with the music I make.
My journey as an aspiring artist, has been challenging to say the least. It has not been “easy”. When I first understood this is my life’s purpose, I also knew that it would be the hardest thing I’ve ever set out to do, so I prepared myself by putting the time in, trusting in my intuition, and having faith in God to stay the course.
Went through a lot of turbulence 2018-2021. Like many others. But I stayed motivated and kept believing that everything that was happening to me, was to prepare me for something greater to come.
In 2022
I got a record I featured on, on the radio via “TheNewHot93.3” shoutout to Sid Kelly and Emily on the Radio for the spins.
I graduated in Jan. 2024 with a recording arts degree from Mediatech
and had the honor of Most Likely to Win a Grammy. It just motivated me even more.
I began to build my reputation and a credible artist here in the city of Dallas.
I overcame the challenges by holding on to my faith, and believing in my abilities. I know deep down, I have something worthy of sharing with the world.
The Lessons I have learned up to this point in my life/career is to stay steadfast, there will be peaks, and there will be valleys. Your emotions can play tricks on you, and the key is to understand that your emotions are temporary, and not to hold on to them but to let them flow and the let them go.
I want the world to know that I didn’t quit. I stayed/am staying the course.
(Ecclesiastes 9:11)
that I have every reason to have given up, but i also have even deeper reasons of why I have to keep going.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are 2 for me.
Firstly my Grandmother
Gwendolyn C. Wheatley she has been the glue, the rock, the tree with firm roots for me and my family. Her undying and unconditional love for me and my sisters and really everyone she has come to know, has impacted me in indescribable ways. Her steadfastness and strong faith in God and his will, are the example for me.
Lastly, the book “The Alchemist” is about the importance to follow your dreams and pursue your personal legend. Never give up, even in the lowest points of your life. I read that book at my lowest point and it gave me strength and opened me up to possibilities I haven’t thought of before.
