We had the good fortune of connecting with Quincy Eldridge and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Quincy, why did you pursue a creative career?
I have always been creative but in my younger years I would have never guessed I’d started my own buiness based off of my creativity and could have been successful at it. Success isn’t defined by a fancy job title or even money in my option. In my eyes success is being able to wake up every day and do something that you find joy in and the cherry on top of that is being surrounded by people with love. I pursued a creative career because I followed my passions, designing and business. I was very fortunate to discover them while in college so as soon as I graduated I took the risk in starting my own business, Rodeo Quincy. My father is an entrepreneur and my mother had a clothing line at one time, I idolized my parents growing up. They saw my work ethic and supported my decision. I was lucky to be surround by a great support system of people who believed in me, which made my decision easier. It hasn’t been easy but boy has it been rewarding and fun!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We honor our western heritage and bridge the gap between western and mainstream fashion. We aren’t afraid to design pieces that make women of every age stand out of the crowd. We do so by using bright colors, red roses and unique designs unlike anything anyone has seen. We empower women of all ages, shapes and sizes to feel beautiful and confident like the bold pieces they are wearing. Western will never go out of style. The American Cowboy is the backbone of America and we are so proud to honor that lifestyle in the pieces we design. Also, rejection is Gods protection. Not everyone is going to believe in you or your ideas, keep forging ahead! Never give up on your dream.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Fort Worth Stock yards! It’s part of the rich tradition of the wild west. One of the only places that to this day has a cattle drive down the cobble stone road. It feels as though you are stepping back in time. You also have to check out hotel Drover. It’s the most beautiful modern take on western decor and the food and drinks are amazing there also.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ariat International, is who gave me my start. I got a deal designing for them back when I was just 18 years old. They believed in my designs and opened my eyes to a career that encompassed everything that I love, rodeo, the western lifestyle, fashion and business. Ariat International and their CEO, Beth Cross, inspired me to live out the American dream of starting and scaling a business of my very own. Also, my loving family and supportive husband. They encourage me and inspire me to keep following my dreams. On the hard days, my Faith. I have never felt alone in the process due to Gods guidance.
