We had the good fortune of connecting with Kim Seymore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kim, how do you think about risk?
I think risk taking is a non-negotiable in business as well as personal growth. Taking risks gives you an open field and opportunity to succeed. Instead of leading with the fear of “What if I fail?” lead with the mindset of “What if I succeed?” I see it as a chance to shut out doubts and just go for what is already yours!

I love taking risks because it forces me to get out of my comfort zone and confront challenges head on. It’s either you’re all in or all out. You can’t half step when it comes to your goals and success. As an entreprenuer, I’ve found that some of my greatest achievements have came as a result of taking an even bigger risk. I learned of my true strength and power, in the moments where fear presented itself – But the risk taker won.

All in all- Risk-taking is indeed a vital aspect of achieving success in both business and personal growth. By embracing risks with a positive mindset and focusing on the opportunities they present, you can unlock new possibilities and make meaningful wins. Instead of fearing failure, see each risk as a step towards great success and personal empowerment.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others, is my unique approach on risk taking. I embrace risk as a necessary step toward innovation and success, focusing on potential gains rather than fearing failure. My ability to adapt and bounce back from setbacks sets me apart, allowing me to navigate challenges effectively. I’m big on continuous improvement, dedicated to lifelong learning and personal development. I always seek new ways to improve my skills and knowledge. Whether it be furthering my education, attending seminars or constantly networking, sign me up. I consistently look for creative solutions to problems, thinking outside the box to find new opportunities.

My journey has been far from easy, starting at a young age when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 10 years old. At that time, I knew very little about such a serious condition and never could have anticipated the challenges that lay ahead. I’m not sure what life without diabetes would look like but I know with it, I’ve become even stronger and more resilient to barriers. Though managing it is not easy by any means, it has only made me a better person physically and mentally overall.

Business wise, I’ve faced a variety of obstacles, including financial constraints, market competition, and occasional self-doubt. Despite these challenges, I remain committed to never giving up. I overcame obstacles by maintaining a clear vision, being persistent, and continuously adapting my strategies based on feedback and results.

Along the way I learned that resilience is key. The ability to persevere through tough times is crucial. Setbacks are part of the journey, and resilience helps in bouncing back stronger. Adaptability is so important as well. Being flexible and willing to pivot when necessary is essential for long-term success.

I want the world to know that my journey is one of authenticity, where every success is built on hard work, resilience, and a commitment to continuous growth. I hope to inspire others to take risks, embrace challenges, and pursue their passions with determination and confidence. No matter the storm, ever stop believing in yourself!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Dallas is a diverse city of many outside activities and fun things to do. It’s hard to not name them all but I’ll try to narrow down my favorite things to do. On a Sunday, I would take them to the West End of town to enjoy brunch at Ellen’s. This is definitely a must go for some good southern, homestyle cooking. With great service, fresh ingredients and a vibe-y atmosphere, It’s never a miss. Later in the day I would visit Dallas’ Museum of Art and then to Te Deseo to enjoy happy hour and a nice city view.

As we move throughout the week, I would start our morning with a latte run at Flying Horse Cafe in Downtown Dallas. One of my faves! We would then head to Katy Trail for a 3 mile walk and along the way, find a quiet place to sit, read and meditate.

Things to do for fun would be Electric Shuffle in Deep Ellum, Wine Down Wednesday at Felix Culpa and Thursday night out to dance at Double D’s!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Undoubtedly, entrepreneurship and small business ownership can be a challenging, filled with uphill battles and obstacles that can be difficult to overcome. However, I have come to realize that having a support system is crucial to success. In my case, my sister Kenya Seymore has been an unwavering source of unconditional support, love and encouragement, providing me with the motivation I need to keep pushing forward. I am truly grateful for her presence in my life and the role she has played in my entrepreneurial journey.
