We had the good fortune of connecting with LaDonna Howard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaDonna, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of our brand is family and support. I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for 32 years but it started getting really difficult after we had our second son. Our son is nonverbal severe autistic. He needed more stability and structure. So my husband and I decided I needed to stay home and that’s when I mentioned the idea of event planning. My husband supported me immediately and things took of from there. Event planning allows me to work from home and give our son the stability he needs.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are an event planning and event styling business. We plan and design weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, church events and more. We pride ourselves on paying attention to small details. We want to make sure the event is memorable. We are a company that believes at the end of the day it’s the memories you create with family, and friends that make life enjoyable! Obtaining equipment and product hasn’t been easy but we are getting there. One of our biggest lessons has been managing our expenses. Learning to manage our expenses has slowly help us increase our profit.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First I would want them to relax and enjoy the calmness of Oklahoma! So I would start by visiting Scissortail Park. The next day a little shopping at the Outlet Mall and Quail Springs Mall. For lunch and dinner I would make sure we visit some of OKC’s best restaurants like The Black Walnut, Ramsey’s Kitchen and Hopscotch. A Thunder game would be great if it’s basketball season. By Friday night it’s all Downtown OKC for dancing, eating and bowling. Saturday a trip to the OKC zoo or Main Event and ending our week with a family and friends gathering.
