We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenya Felder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jenya, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of my favorite affitmation’s comes from my elementary principal, Mr. MacDonald. It’s something I learned at an early age and something that motivates me and has always been part of my mindset: Good, Better, Best.
Never Let it Rest.
Unitl your Good is Better and your
Better is Best.
My faith is a very important part of my life and my favorite Bible verse is Matthew 17:20: The task ahead of you is never as great as the POWER behind you. “…if you have faith as small as a mustard seed…nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
What should our readers know about your business?
Jenya Renée is a luxury handbag line featuring limited-edition designs crafted from beautiful exotic skins and premium leathers. Each handbag is created with a focus on quality and quiet luxury in a variety of eye-catching custom colors. My brand has 6 different handbag collections and 2 accessory lines all named after my family. My premier collection, The Victoria “Toy” bag, is named after my youngest daughter. My older daughter, Ella, named my youngest Toy Toy when she was little because she couldn’t pronounce Victoria. It’s representative of the handbag because the Victoria Toy bag is my smallest bag that is a petite powerhouse of style. She may be small in size, but she’s big in charm in every way (she’s also stadium and event venue approved) to always keep the fun going. A little history on me…I graduated from TCU with a double business major in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Management. I had a few wonderful jobs out of college that all taught me extremely valuable business skills. My husband and I created a company at the end of 2020 and that was the true catapult that motivated me to take my true passion of fashion and start something on my own.
I want people to know that this line has bee a labor of love and I just want my brand to add some joy and inspiration to everyone’s wardrobe.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Great question! My husband and I both went to TCU and have stayed in Fort Worth, so we definitely love this city and all it has to offer. I think we would start at Press Cafe for some morning mimosas and some fresh air outside with the beautiful scenery. We would then hop over to Colonial for a quick tennis drill or a game of pickle ball. I think we would pop over to Camp Bowie (Hale House or You Are Here) to grab a cute outfit for our evening out. We’d grab a martini at the chic Le Margot bar and maybe some sushi at this great little hidden gem on Hulen- Edohanna and order the Felder roll. It’s not on the menu, but the owner Mr. June, named it after us and all our friends know it’s the “go-to” delicious no rice roll. You can never go wrong with Joe T Garcia’s either – my favorite is the off menu street tacos in flour tortillas with a little gravy on the side (aka hot enchilada sauce). One of my new favorite spots to also hang out is the Bowie House- great ambiance and always interesting people!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my husband, Craig Felder, who is my highschool sweetheart and the one who encouraged me to follow my passion in fashion and take the leap to create this unique handbag line.
