We had the good fortune of connecting with Shay Gipson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shay, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I find daily inspiration in the dedicated individuals working for Goodwill, particularly those at Edgar’s Bath Goods. Witnessing adults with disabilities given the chance to achieve maximum independence through meaningful employment is truly uplifting. The transformative power of a job extends beyond a paycheck; it enhances self-esteem and fosters a sense of accomplishment, reminding me of the profound impact work can have on one’s life.

What should our readers know about your business?
Edgar’s Bath Goods provides a line of luxury bath bombs handmade by adults with disabilities in Fort Worth, Texas.

Available online at www.EdgarsBathGoods.com and in-person at the GW Boutique in Keller and other area boutiques, these bath bombs are offered in six original scents – Lavender Fields, Yellow Rose of Texas, Bluebonnet, Fig Mint, Prairie Sunset and Edgar’s Signature. The products are all chemical, paraben, alcohol, mineral oil and sulfate-free and have not been tested on animals.

A division of Goodwill North Central Texas, all proceeds from Edgar’s Bath Goods go to support the nonprofit’s mission of providing jobs and job training for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment such as homelessness, lack of education or work experience, criminal backgrounds and more.

“Our mission through Edgar’s Bath Goods is to provide an opportunity for adults with disabilities to achieve their maximum independence through the power of work,” said David Cox, President and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas. “These luxurious bath bombs are handmade with love by these local citizens who possess unique abilities and a keen passion for work.”
