We had the good fortune of connecting with Riena Conrad and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Riena, how do you think about risk?
After having the opportunity to be able to work for myself and quitting my job I wouldn’t have it any other way. Taking this risk moved me to another state, bought me a car, and gave me travel experience and more.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am most proud of turning one little henna cone into a business four years later. My first few henna designs I would have never shared with the public, it took about a year before I started sharing. You’re not gonna start great, keep practicing. I overcome my challenges with the power of social media. I use YouTube videos to learn new designs and to fine tune known skills. I would like everyone to know that I’m telling you to take risks because I did it and it wasn’t always fun or easy, but I have no regrets.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s a spot in Dallas called the pecan lodge and has great turkey options! Piada is located in Fort Worth with great veggie options. There are also many arcade bars like free play
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out gopi henna for having high quality henna that I have been using for years now. I also used her beginners videos when I was starting.
