We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeromiah Emanuel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeromiah, what inspires you?
God! He’s the number one person in my life and my desire and hunger to be pleasing to Him and to walk in His ways are what drives me and keeps me motivated to become better in all that I do. It’s only God who has changed my life so drastically that the me before Him and the me after Him are two completely different people!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work in full-time ministry managing a prayer and partner team for an evangelist with a worldwide outreach, as well as I minister to others through social media. I am where I am today because I was willing to just do what God asked me to do, step by step.

In 2015, in a time of prayer I was directed to visit a church here in Texas, Heritage of Faith Christian Center, and during the service we attended, I felt a leading to move and make Texas my family’s home. We came here with no jobs, no friends, and a lot of uncertainty, but we knew God would help us as we listened to what He said to do. From there, I eventually ended up working at the ministry I’m at now in the shipping department and eventually the prayer team.

I wish I could say there was a certain way to hustle, or gain enough knowledge, to rise into the positions you’re destined for, but there’s not. For me, taking one step at a time, doing my best with it, and being faithful to have a good work ethic no matter what has equated to mind-boggling success. These are great keys to success whether you’re a minister, a grocer, or a lawyer: take an opportunity given, do your best, and have a good work ethic and there’s no way you’ll stay small!

What sets me apart from others I’ve seen in ministry is that I have a heart to learn something new about God every day and I’m willing to learn from everyone around me! Because the call to serve others by helping meet their spiritual and physical needs is so heavy, it’s important to remember that full-time ministry is a call and not a job! What’s the difference? A job is something you do while a calling is someone you are. The only failures I’ve had in ministry personally were the times I lost sight of the fact that ministry is for people, not your personal success. The Bible says that whoever is faithful with little will be made in charge over much so if you’ll just meet the needs of people, you’ll grow naturally as you’re more effective. Don’t chase growth, chase meaning, and growth will come.

When it comes to me personally, all I would want the world to know is my whole life was made better the day I found Jesus Christ. He’s literally helped me from being a poor, broken person to being a happy, prosperous, hopeful person and He’s willing to do that for anyone that will let Him. That’s why I’m fervent about telling everyone, anywhere what I can about what God has done for me!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Great question, but I hope my answers aren’t too basic! I’m a homebody at heart so I stay in a very small radius in traveling. Here’s what I would suggest:

Places to eat would include Grimaldi’s Pizza and Amorino’s Gelato in Clearfork, Grump’s Burgers in Burleson, and Mi Cocina in downtown Fort Worth!

Sites would include the Fort Worth Water Gardens, the Stockyards, the shops at Clearfork, as well as taking a nice drive to Glen Rose, TX to site see and take in some great Texas history without going too far from the city!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people that I owe a great debt of gratitude to are Dr. Jerry & Mrs. Carolyn Savelle. I’ve followed their ministry for quite a while now and I’ve learned and grown so much. They have truly taught me about the integrity of God, His Word, and why it’s so important to reach as many people as possible with God’s message of hope. They’ve truly made me a winner in life!

I would also like to recognize the wonderful pastors and leaders of Heritage of Faith Christian Center. They received us warmly, have taught us powerfully, and have given my family opportunities to share our ministry gifts with others.
