Meet Abby & Olivia Rodriguez | Coffeeholics & Latte Lovers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Abby & Olivia Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Abby & Olivia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It all began with our shared passion for coffee and how it brought us together. We spend hours trying out new coffee shops every weekend, and that’s when we realized we wanted to create something special with our bond over coffee. We’re huge coffee enthusiasts and wanted to share that love with others. The idea of being mobile and reaching different events and places appealed to us. It’s been an amazing journey, not just as sisters but also as coffee buddies. Bringing our love for coffee to others through the mobile coffee cart has been incredibly rewarding!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When they aren’t doing a pop up Abby is a teacher and has a passion for education and inspiring young minds of children with learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD, and dysgraphia just to name a few. Her dedication to creating a positive learning environment and fostering critical thinking sets her apart. She’s most proud of the impact she has on her students’ lives, helping them grow academically and emotionally. Olivia on the other hand, works in social media, where creativity, adaptability, and staying updated on trends are crucial. She take pride in crafting engaging content and building meaningful connections with the audience.
They also both just graduated with their Masters degree May 2023!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our best friend visited DFW for a week, I’d ensure they have a blast! We’d start with a morning pick me up at a local coffee shops like Staycation in Richardson or Tre Stelle Coffee Co in Plano. A workout class at Oak Cliff Pilates would keep us active and energized.
For sightseeing, we’d explore the Bishop Arts District, visit the Margret Hunt Hill Bridge or a day trip to Fort Worth’s Stockyards.
To unwind, we’d chill at White Rock Lake or Klyde Warren Park. For dinner, we’d have crab legs at Red Crab in Addison, or Korean BBQ at Gens Korean BBQ in Carrollton. With a mix of culture, cuisine, and fun activities, DFW would show them the best time ever! 🎉🏙️☕🍽️
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We can’t pass up this opportunity to give a massive SHOUTOUT to our amazing family! They are a powerhouse of business owners and entrepreneurs who have played a pivotal role in shaping our journey. Their relentless efforts, unwavering support, and belief in our dreams have been our driving force. Our family is a constant source of inspiration. Growing up in an entrepreneurial environment, we witnessed their passion, hard work, and determination firsthand. They instilled in us the values of perseverance, innovation, and taking risks, which are essential traits in the world of business.
