Meet Laurasia Thomas | Entrepreneur & Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laurasia Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laurasia, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
As a naturally cautious person, my thoughts about risks had typically been fear-driven. As I’ve grown in my faith, I have recognized that risks aren’t so scary when you trust God. God is my source and I’ve seen how my trust in Him, combined with taking risks has improved my overall drive around my life. I have seen huge gains in my personal life and business because of my newfound risk-taking ability.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I didn’t always consider myself an “artist” or a “creative”, but with time I learned that artistry isn’t confined to a specific medium or skill set. What sets me apart from others is my eye for detail. If there is ever a small thing I want to bring to life I will go to great lengths to bring it to life, whether it is for myself or a client.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the DFW area and wanted to have the best time ever, my itinerary would probably be as follows:
– Super early breakfast at First Watch. They have amazing service and their Belgian Waffle is so good!
– Go for a brisk walk/hike at the Cedar Hill State Park.
-Spend some time supporting the vendors at the Dallas Farmers Market.
– Dinner at Lexy’s ! It’s so instagrammable and the food is good!
Good food and shopping are always a mood for me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout my siblings and best friends! They have really supported my efforts in a way that is unmatched. Every time I felt like giving up their encouragement, ideas, or projects gave me a fresh set of eyes and pushed me to never let my creativity die.
