We had the good fortune of connecting with Jill + Erica Our Loves List and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jill + Erica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We’ve both always loved fashion, traveling, and all things beauty and skincare. Over the years, we’ve had friends family and co-workers say “That’s so cute, where did you get that?” or “I need help with a gift for someone, I liked what you had on the other day.” so we decided it was a great time to get all of our ideas, outfits, and inspo in one spot. In June 2019 we started Our Loves List, a curation of, well… all the things we love. We post weekly about life, outfits, places we’ve traveled, our newest makeup obsession, or the steals and deals you’re dying to get your hands on.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We started Our Loves List in June of 2019 to start putting all of our ‘loves’ in one spot. We also have a lot of people ask about our travel; where we went, what we did, where we’re at, how we found the cute photo ops. Our blog posts also feature travel itineraries that take the guess work out of what to do once you’re there, so you can spend time doing what really matters.

We also own and operate Our Loves Management, where we help other small businesses get their companies seen in the world of marketing and social so they can focus on the operational tasks at hand. Our professional careers have been in the Marketing field for over 15 years, so our experience in our day to day lives helps us help others in our spare time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re both fans of heading to the Star in Frisco and spending the day exploring around the area. Who doesn’t love creating their own custom hat from Fleastyle, shopping at Charlotte’s store inside the Omni for your next pair of GG’s, eating a nice dinner at Dee Lincolns, then ending the night with a Mambo Taxi from Mi Cocina?

We also enjoy shopping and eating around Watters Creek. It’s the perfect spot to spend a few hours without driving to different locations.

Legacy West is our go-to for the cutest pop-up installations, splurging on a new wardrobe or purse and kicking back at Haywire with a drink. Del Friscos is a fave of ours too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our friends and family are what got us here. Without their push to “just start it” we would have never created our website. Through the website, we were able to also secure social media pages and a LTK Creators account, where we link our products we want to feature on the backend, and people can follow us on that app or click any of our links where we’ve posted them. Of course, we couldn’t do it without our friends or family clicking these links and helping support our side business. Every product bought through one of our affiliated links creates a small commission that over time builds up and allows us to continue to do what we love.
