We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefania Vito and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefania, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Our passion of cooking and the energy it creates amongst the people who consume it is what we believe is the most important factor for our success. When you truly care about what you are doing from the very beginning stages of thought, to how the person/people enjoying it will feel afterwards, you make sure every step is carefully planned and executed. Sharing our Argentinian heritage and the significance of family is something we want to share with everyone. Family is the one ingredient that is common throughout it all. From our family to the families who share our food with each other, we are connected by the simple dishes that span generations and cultures.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Stefania’s Empanadas is an Authentic Argentine baked empanada business currently based out of a commercial kitchen in Downtown Frisco, Texas. We offer over 15 savory fillings, 6 dessert fillings as well other Argentine specialties such as Choripán, ensalada rusa, alfajores de maicena, & flan. What sets us apart from other businesses is that we are super passionate not only about our food but also about our Argentine heritage and making our guests feel like they are a part of our family. We offer delivery and carryout along with hosting pop up restaurants and participating in local events a few times a month as well. We are the most excited about expanding our small business into our Argentine cafe. It certainly has not been easy but we wouldn’t change it for the world. The feeling that our customers get when they try our food says it all. It is was motivates us to push through all of the hard times and continue to do what we do best. We’ve learned the adversities faced in running a business can be challenging, but remembering our “why” helps us push through and continue to strive to be the best. Our goal is to provide an authentic Argentine experience as well as making you feel like you are a part of our family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the best things about moving to Texas is the endless amount of fun things there are to do. Some of those things include starting your morning with a delicious latte and truffle avocado toast from LaLa Land kind cafe in Addison, visiting the Dallas Farmers market and checking out the local vendors, walking by cute shops in the Bishop Arts District, grabbing lunch at Heirloom Haul & making a custom cowboy hat at Fleastyle at the Star. Grabbing happy hour cocktails & snacks at Leela’s Wine bar in uptown, Checking out historic Grapevine and taking the vintage train to Fort-Worth Stockyards, Watching the longhorn cattle drive and visiting Hotel Drover. Enjoying a delicious farm to table dinner at Harvest Seasonal Kitchen in downtown McKinney. Cooling off from the Texas heat and Grabbing a frozen treat at Andy’s Frozen custard.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate all of my successes to my amazing family. My parents, & siblings and of course my amazing fiancé Daniel. They encourage me everyday to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. They are my rocks who guide me and motivate me when things get hard. I would not be able to do what I love without them.
