We had the good fortune of connecting with Viktor & Lauren Villarreal and Jacory Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Viktor, Lauren, Jacory, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
LaurenJacory and I have been into the music scene for 10 plus years now. As musicians and creators with a dream of capitalizing off of our skills and abilities, it only made sense for us to put our minds together and turn iSkream Collective into iSkream Collective LLC. Lauren is a Dj/Producer by the name Karmuh with a vast skill set in Photoshop and a solid history in artist relations. Jacory and I already had a footprint in the music scene from our previous years of promoting for some very prominent clubs and playing shows under the name Madnoiz. Promotion runs in our veins. Our experience of watching other promoters drive the DFW music scene inspired us to do the same when we started iSkream Collective.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a company, we are excited to see where the future takes us. We are proud to be able to put on other fellow artist, musicians and vendors that don’t always get the recognition they deserve. We’re excited to bring our own tastes of music and style to the public while simultaneously providing fun and safe places for people to express themselves and just have fun. We like to remain humble. We have taken many loses along the way. Not every endeavor has been successful in this business. But our dedication to this music community as a whole is what drives us to continue to create a unique and unforgettable experience for our supporters and attendees. Being able to bring happiness to people through music has given us a huge purpose. We’ve learned that even a loss can be a win. Because if we can entertain or inspire even just one person, then we’ve made an impact on the community. iSkream Collective was built on the love of music and performing arts. Music has always been our therapy; we just want to give the world a taste of our medicine!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friends were coming to town for a week, we’d book a room at the Lorenzo Hotel in Dallas. We’d start by hitting Deep Sushi in Deep Ellum. We’d bar hop from Crowdus Bar to the Select Start arcade bar for some vibes at Top Notch Tuesdays. Later on in the week we would venture to Fort Worth and see our friends at The Whiskey Garden where we could catch some tunes by the pool. Then we’d go hit Gus’s Fried Chicken for a reboot. Then come the weekend we’d check out the Green Elephant and see who’s throwing down on the turn tables. We’d take them on a day trip to the one and only Rainbow Vomit for a little photo shoot action. We’d go hit the Zenna Thai & Japanese restaurant then end the night at either 77 Degrees roof top bar or Wonder Bar.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people we could dedicate this too. JT Van Winkle for bringing Jacory and I into the music scene. Depp Squad and Dallas Entourage for putting us on to promotion in the beginning. Nicholas Perlmutter and Alex Bailey(Vanilla Guerillaz) for helping establish iSkream Collective from the start. Shout out to all of the other companies that came from the ground up at the same time of as us. DFW Rave Fam, Riot Tribe, Gener8. And also the companies that we’ve made connections with along the way. Baked Up out of Austin, TX. 1220 Presents, ABM, and #TillTheDirt out of Oklahoma City, OK. Not to mention all the artist and musicians that have played our shows and supported our movement since the beginning. The list is to long to make but you all know who you are!
