We had the good fortune of connecting with Haylee Byrd and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haylee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We came up with the idea to start Wishbone Jewelry LLC after realizing we wanted to work towards building something meaningful for ourselves and build not only a business but relationships with our community through our craft. I thrive more in an environment where I can create my own schedule and reach my own goals so becoming a business owner was the right fit.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own a Permanent Jewelry business called Wishbone Jewelry LLC. We specialize in providing 14k gold filled and .925 sterling silver chains and charms that are welded together to create clasp-less, long lasting, and fully customizable bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and rings. I am proud to say that we have done extensive research in finding the best distributors in order to make quality product that is backed by our warranty. Starting a small business is not as easy as it may seem. It took a lot of research, time, and investments to get to where we are today. We still face obstacles on a daily basis but we always tackle them head on with a professional attitude,grit, and a smile. I have learned to be kind and courteous to everyone and to always go out of my way to become friends with clients and other businesses owners in my community. It is important to have a support system and like minded individuals to converse with. I would like the world to know that Wishbone Jewelry LLC strives to provide a fun and memorable experience for our clients. We started this business to create and celebrate special moments with our community and we are incredibly blessed to have been able to follow through with that agenda.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
DFW has some of the best dining and shopping options In Texas. If I were to take my friends with me on a tour of my hometown I would definitely recommend we eat lunch in Downtown Fort Worth at Blue Sushi. The service provided and quality of their food is unmatched. Some other honorable dining mentions would be Gemelle , Reata , Social house, and HG Sply Co. For a fun activity I would definitely Stop by the Stock Yards, Billy bobs, Free Play Arcade DFW, The Bowl Lounge, Docs Records & Vintage and shopping in University Park village.

I would like to shout out my mother and business partner/co founder Amanda Byrd and my father Billy Byrd .I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without both of them by my side.
