We had the good fortune of connecting with Gerardo Gutierrez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gerardo, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’m originally from Mexico, I was brought over at the age of 6 from Monterrey Nuevo León. Risk taking has always played a huge role in my life, since my first encounter at the age of 6. I’ve always viewed Risk taking as a decision “Do I walk away from fear, or do I face it”. The words “Risk taking” is just a bolder way of interpreting the lessons you’ve gained or learned from. How you view risk taking is the outcome on the results of your action. Risk taking is not a role, it is my lifestyle and career, and I am truly grateful for it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My service (Business) Value Capital Investments LLC organically focuses on bringing value to others. In the real estate field and out. From the relationships to the connections, we bring. Question, have you ever had that gut feeling…that feels just right? Those are exactly the relations we bring, the right one! As our relationship building/networking has brought us endless amount of excitement, I’m more excited in what the future has in stored. That wasn’t always the case, a lot of searches went in behind my motive. It’s never easy and it’s always difficult but it’s more difficult being complacent. In other words, “choose your hard”. I refuse to be in a loop, and I made a firm promise to myself that I will overcome my challenges by facing my fears. The biggest skill or lesson I’ve leaned through my journey is NEVER say I can’t, always ask yourself “How can I”, the rest is history! Embrace the struggle and enjoy the journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots to hang out would most definitely be the gym or an outdoor shooting range, those two places bring me the most peace and enjoyment. However, since I am a food fanatic, anywhere and everywhere is my spot for food. Personally, I am a wingaholic and love to smoother ranch on my spicy lemon pepper wings! Preferable any pluckers locations. Now with the more freedom that I am having, just now getting the opportunity to be more adventurous and trying out new things.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There’s one specific person that I owe everything to. Her Risk taking, has placed me in the opportunities to learn and gain from, good or bad. She showed and gave me that fight mentality I have within, becoming the man I’m destined to be. The few that truly know me, really understand the undeniable appreciation I have for my mother. A true hero.
