Hi Alex, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As an entrepreneur, starting my own business was an exciting opportunity for me to take control of my career and have the freedom to express my creativity. I have always been passionate about exploring new ideas and projects. Starting my own business allows me to fully immerse myself in my work and bring those ideas to life. I have a natural inclination toward creating. Starting my own business allows me to express myself fully and share my ideas with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My approach to car detailing sets me apart from others. Rather than just providing mobile detailing or vinyl wrap services, I’ve created a unique experience for my clients. I also offer a mix of education and entertainment through creating content on Instagram and YouTube. Additionally, I limit my appointments to one per day to ensure that each client receives the highest quality service and my undivided attention. I prioritize quality over quantity to provide the best results for my clients and to give back to the community by sharing my knowledge and skills.

I got to where I am professionally through a long journey of hard work and dedication. My journey to gaining the knowledge I have now, building my work environment, and acquiring the necessary equipment began in late 2018 and early 2019. I started by purchasing equipment and seeking more knowledge and information beyond my hobby-level understanding. I took the craft seriously, devoted a lot of time to the growth of my knowledge and skills, and have continued to do so ever since. It’s been a journey that required patience, persistence, and constant learning and growth, but it’s been worth it to provide great services for my clients.

When it comes to overcoming challenges in my professional journey, the auto detailing industry presented its fair share. The industry is relatively small and less well-known than others, which meant that obtaining the information and skills necessary to excel in it required much self-directed learning and digging for valuable resources. Like many crafts and trades, growth and success in this field depend highly on the individual’s effort and dedication. With no formal schooling or training programs specifically for auto detailing, I had to put in the extra effort to gain knowledge and improve my skills through self-study and research. This was a challenging but ultimately rewarding process that helped me to become the professional I am today.

As a car detailer, one of the key lessons I’ve learned on my professional journey is the importance of self-education. When I started out, I soon realized that there were few formal training programs or schools for this trade, and I had to take it upon myself to seek the knowledge and skills I needed to excel in the industry. Along the way, I’ve also learned that staying true to your values and not compromising them is crucial in building a business. I’ve come to understand that patience and the willingness to adapt to new trends, techniques, and products are essential in this ever-evolving industry. While I may have yet to arrive at my ideal destination in my career, I am continuously working hard to improve and reach my goals.

I want to convey to the world that at Clean Start Detail, we are deeply passionate about sharing our knowledge and expertise with others. We believe in empowering individuals with the information they need to take care of their vehicles, making them look their best, keeping them protected, and helping them retain their value for a long time. We strive to provide quality and thorough services that go above and beyond what is normally expected. Additionally, we want to be recognized as a reliable source of information and inspiration for car detailing enthusiasts. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and share our passion and educate others so they can do the same. We believe in providing a high-quality service that enhances the appearance of vehicles and helps preserve them for the long term; that is our mission.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were to visit the Dallas area, I would be excited to show them all the great things that this region has to offer. One of the highlights of any trip here would be visiting the state fair, which is a unique and fun event that I attend every year with my family. Not only would they get to experience the traditional fair activities such as fried foods, games, and rides, but they would also be able to see some of the state’s best agriculture and livestock exhibits.

Another must-see destination is the neighborhood of Deep Ellum. This area is known for its vibrant nightlife, with plenty of bars and venues for live music. One of my favorite places in Deep Ellum is Insomnia Cookies, which serves warm, delicious cookies late into the night. Another great spot for live music is The Balcony Club which is just northeast of Deep Ellum and is a cozy jazz club with great cocktails.

As my friend is from the east coast, I would also want to make sure they get a taste of the best Texas BBQ, Tex-Mex food, and street tacos. For those who want to explore more of nature, I would take them to the Dallas Aquarium and the Dallas Zoo to see some of the most exotic animals of the world.

Of course, every trip would only be complete with checking out some of the great concerts that the area has to offer. I had the opportunity to see The Black Keys live at the Dos Equis Pavilion, and it was an amazing experience. I would also make sure to take them to In-N-Out for a classic west coast burger experience. With so many fun and interesting things to see and do, the Dallas area is a great place for a visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
When I think about the people and things that have contributed to my success and my current position in life, there are a few that immediately come to mind. First and foremost, I have to give a shoutout to my fiancé. She has been an absolute rock behind me, always there to support me, encourage me, and help me with my vision. From the very beginning, she has believed in me and helped me to turn my dreams into reality. Without her, I don’t think I would have been able to start my own business, let alone make it a family-run operation.

Beyond her unwavering support, my fiancé has also been an invaluable partner in the business. Whenever she has time, she works with me and helps me with ideas, and her input has been invaluable. I am extremely grateful to have her by my side, and I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without her.

I also want to give a shoutout to our dog, who has been an important member of our family and has stood by us through good and bad times. He has been a constant companion and has shown his support for our work in his own unique way. His presence and joy always puts a smile on our faces and makes us feel loved.
