We had the good fortune of connecting with Candace Woodruff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Candace, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was taught that if you want a successful business, FIND A PROBLEM and SOLVE IT! When I created Performance Tax Group & Financial Services, the goal was for us to assist everyday people with tax and financial strategies to help them thrive financially in their working years that last them throughout their retirement years.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Performance Tax Group & Financial Services is a tax and financial literacy firm who helps clients grow their revenue without using their labor. We are different from other firms because not only do we service our clients, we educate them on best practices. We also work with our clients at their beginning stages and when they grow, we grow with them. We are large enough to meet their needs, but small enough to care for them directly.

We have made it to where we are with hard work, dedication to our clients, always striving to get better, and continuing to learn so that we are able to serve at the highest level. Nothing about entrepreneurship or building a business from the ground up is easy, actually it’s the total opposite. The key of overcoming the challenges is to face and handle 1 challenge at a time. Don’t allow the overwhelming feeling of things falling apart to push you out! What I mean by this is when times get hard, remind yourself that something good must be coming so I have to “GROW THROUGH THIS.” Those Growing Pains allow you to learn more about yourself and your industry. In retrospect, it’s FEEDBACK and tells you what NOT TO DO!
