Meet Sophia Williams | Business Owner of Earth Goddess Shop

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sophia Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sophia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always love candles. My husband bought me my first candle making kit . So I got into making candles as a Hobbie, then I wanted to share to the world my talent. So Earth Goddess Shop was born May 2020.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I specialize in intention candles and wax melts. Intention candles are candles infused or charge with energy of your intention and are used for meditation or give you that positive energy around you. I am so proud of myself for not giving up when I have bad days. I love what I do. What sets me apart from others, I use coconut wax. Coconut wax lasts longer when burning, ad its also a clean burn too. How I got where I am today business-wise is faith, love and support.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my friends to Gloria’s They have some good drinks I would also take my friends to Tj wing and catfish in Arlington. They have some good food there. Also Jimmy’s big burger in Arlington too. They have some good burgers there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout my family and friends. They are my biggest supporters. They continue to listen to my ideas and give me advice too. They genuinely want to see me succeed. I want to give a special shoutout to my husband for getting me started with my dream and supporting me throughout everything.
