We had the good fortune of connecting with Jarvis Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jarvis, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Paris, Tx. I have always done music growing up, Through school band and church playing the drums. so I can say music has been something I’ve invested most of my life too. I had and older cousin that took the time to teach me to play and after that I just stuck with it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I love about producing music is being able to see a song start from nothing ( I like to call it a blank canvas) and grow into something great. It’s a rush for me. I like being able to work with an artist and take what’s in their mind and bring it to life. It’s never easy when chasing your dreams or trying to achieve goals. It take time management, late nights and early mornings. Looking in the mirror and telling yourself that you believe in yourself. Don’t wait for support because you may never get it and you life could pass you by.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m more of a keep my head down and work kinda person but there’s a old mom and pop restaurant called roosters that id recommend. And you gotta catch the block on Sunday’s during the summer.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d have to say my wife and kids they have to deal with the most sacrifice as I chase my dreams. They have been with me every step of the way. They are as very supportive at what I do.
