We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Stager and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
There’s so many different variables when it comes to what “success” is. Each person/company has a different definition of what success is. For Cerakote Labs success is assuring that the entire experience from start to finish, is an amazing one. I want my clients to feel great throughout their journey with us. No matter how big or small the project may be.
We have taken many steps to adjust they way that we run business to maximize the happiness of our clients.
Every piece of our business is geared and modeled for that “success”.
All the little things matter when it comes to achieving that goal of “success”.
We set up appointments for each client/project to guarantee they get the one on one attention they deserve, plus they never feel rushed. Each client works with the same team member throughout their project, and have a direct line to that team member for any questions or comments they may have.
I have personally noticed a massive decline on customer service throughout several industries, and we want to bring back that lost art.

What should our readers know about your business?
Cerakote Labs is Advance Certified through NIC Industries to apply Cerakote coating. Cerakote is thin-film protective ceramic coating. Originally was commonly used in the firearm industry, now Cerakote is applied on such a variety of components. From car parts & aviation components to computer parts & medical devices Cerakote is being applied to all of them. Due to Cerakote’s thin, yet ultra protective formula it is the leading coating across most industries.
Our facility sets itself apart from other coating shops by not only providing the best customer service but assuring that each component brought in is coated beautifully. It does not matter if it is a solid color Glock frame or a custom galactic designed keyboard case, all parts are quality checked by a minimum of two certified applicators prior to make sure the coating is perfect.
Getting to this point has not been easy, it has come with a lot of frustration, mistakes, and many lessons, but has been worth every bump in the road. I get the opportunity to work with people I see as not only close friends, but family; we may fall together at times but we always rise together.
Our business has allowed me to meet amazing people, and learn their stories. Many of our clients have become great friends to us as well. I cannot imagine doing anything else!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Dallas area has such great things to offer! Personally I love small locally owned businesses!

Some of my favorite things would be:

Staycation Coffee in Richardson, trust me you won’t regret trying this coffee shop. The coffee is ALWAYS divine and made with so much love, the baked goods they offer are always off the charts (plus they are from fellow small businesses), they have the most amazing staff (shoutout to Jared, Branon, and Marco), and the owner Nicole is the sweetest woman you will likely ever encounter. You can even make some amazing friends while you are there, everyone and everything about this place is five stars! Plus they have hammocks in their backyard area… win!

Downtown McKinney’s Farmers Market on Saturdays is a must. I take my toddler and we both have a great time. The selection of fresh locally grown produce is diverse and I always seem to learn something new every time go. Plus the farmers are always so nice! My favorite booths would likely be, Mac & Cream (French Macarons) made by Vi Henderson. Farmboys Fungi has the best mushroom selection, don’t know much about what to do with certain mushroom varieties? Clayton & his family will give you all sorts of ideas of how to use them! Whitehouse Kitchen is my go to for elderberry & honey.. I could go on and on! Get the family together and check it out!

If you love sushi Uchi Dallas is 5 star option. Omakase is the way to go. The food speaks for itself.

Downtown Mckinney has the most adorable ceramic paint it yourself shop, Walls of Clay. Perfect for a fun date, or to take the kiddos. The staff is super friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. After that you can walk across the street to Habitat Plants & Coffee to get a new houseplant (yes… you need another one) and a cup of liquid happiness. There’s also a lot of local shopping up and down the street, there’s a little something for everyone.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to send a special thank you to Tina M. Gottlieb D.C for giving me my life back from migraines. Without her care, I would not be where I am at, all my success has been based off her never giving up on helping me through that very painful & debilitating part of my life.

To Scott Zimmerman, my business partner and friend for taking the leap with me to build this phenomenal company .

To all the people throughout my years who have given me advice, tips, and guided me, this is all for you.
Every mistake, heartbreak, failure, misstep… it has all lead me to where I am now and I am forever grateful to every single one of you!
