We had the good fortune of connecting with Kara Marlene and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kara, how do you think about risk?
It depends on how you look at risk. There’s a set standard the world has made us to believe whether I’m facing a business or a life decision. And anything outside of that standard is considered a risk. I have lived, since I was eight years old, in the risk factor. I have never taken anyone’s advice unless I first went within and weighted that so-called advice with what I knew to be true. No matter what it were leaving my small town in Kansas to chase my dreams or deciding to move forward without treatment having a generation cancer diagnosis trusting that I knew what to do myself. I healed myself by the way. It’s an incredible story. I believe taking ‘risks’ is life itself. It made all the difference for me. I weighed the greatest risk, my life, against all odds and all advice from those who supposedly knew better. I am not just living, I’m thriving now because I took the most important risk of all… Trusting myself no matter the cost.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an author in podcast about NDE’s (near-death experiences) and Mystical Esotericism. I have a podcast and I’m writing my book to share the story of my near death experience at 8 and the literal miracles I’ve experienced since that day.

I own an organic spa, KMB & Skincare, near Highland Park Texas specializing in lashes, facials & organic skincare.

I am also a speaker sharing my NDE (near-death experiences) and Mystical Expeeiences. I have a podcast and I’m writing my book to share my NDE and the literal miracles I’ve experienced since that day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would absolutely take the train downtown and walk the Katy Trail up to Knox Henderson to Village bakery to get breakfast. Then we would go to an art museum downtown as we walked back to victory station. We would catch lunch at haywire the steakhouse downtown.

The next couple of days would be checking out a play at fair Park and probably a cheap seat at a hockey game at American Airline Stadium .

We would not forget a morning stroll through the deep ellum vendor tents grabbing a hot Matcha latte at Merrit Coffee. As well as strolling through the farmers market grabbing produce and fun gifts at The Shed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to thank Alexis Noble a friend and confidant who has supported me by not just listening to my story but encouraging me to share it. I also would like to thank my friend Trace Bell a fantastic spiritual teacher that is loved and supported me on my journey by helping me give words to my experience and empowering me with the reality of my potential.
