Meet Liliana Lugo: Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liliana Lugo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liliana, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
The most difficult decision for me was quitting my Job, I had been there for almost 5 years. That Job was good to me, no doubt! But I had to go off and chase my dream in the Photography business. My Ex-boss is truly an amazing person, he taught me so much throughout the time I was working for him, a very inspiring human being. So having to sit down during a lunch meeting just to tell him I had to leave his team, boy that was tough!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Liliana is my name, but everyone calls me Lilly, I’m a rising Photographer, Freezing moments beautifully… That’s my art! I just absolutely love the feeling of being able to capture a moment in time or in someone’s life. I’m 34 years young. I’m a wife/stay at home mother of 4 amazing children. Getting to where I am today was not easy, I’m still in the learning process, as far as overcoming challenges? Well, when I got stuck or couldn’t understand certain settings on my Camera, I asked questions. There’s experienced photographer’s out there that are willing to be a helping hand. I truly appreciate them for that. One lesson I learned is that there’s a ton of ways to develop your skills…If you take a passion and run with it, can you be successful!
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
Tacos! You can’t ever go wrong with some Oak Cliff Tacos, My favorite are “Taqueria El Si Hay”. I also like dining at “Mama Cucas”, a mexican restaurant which is located near my house in south Arlington. Oh I’m an arcade type of girl, So I’d hit up a local Dave & Buster’s, Alley Cats, Or Speed zone. Drinks? I’ll take my bestie to Candy Shack Daiquiris To-go! I love this place, I highly recommend it. Thank me later, Lol!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My clients!!! They deserve credit and recognition, because without them there’s no sessions, there’s no practice, they make me better, my dream is coming to life little by little, Thanks to them.
