We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Tack and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Matt, how do you think about risk?
I think of this routinely and what it came down to was redefining my definition of failure. All my life there were rules. I now call them the Dave Ramsey’s…

Those rules leave you trapped and feeling helpless.

When I started to embrace the uncomfortable and looking at risk or failure as a plausible option to grow and learn, it was a life changer. The “so what” mentality. When we are able to give up the outcome and just put in the work, risk and failure become new ways to learn new things.

What should our readers know about your business?
I got where I am today because I forced myself into surrounding myself with people that also wanted to max out their life. They are growers, thinkers and dreamers!

It isn’t easy and everyday is a challenge. I get excited about the challenges, but also realize this isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. I take one day at a time. Get my rest and wake up the next day with the same grateful heart! Gratitude is an amazing tool!

I’ve learned to play the long game! Get comfortable with the uncomfortable. Search to learn new things every day! Be vulnerable and never ashamed. Ask a lot of questions and be persistent.

Health is wealth! Treat your body with the utmost respect! Build your habits and eat the right things!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take them to the Riverwalk and Downtown! Maybe have a couple drinks at the Gin Joint and have my personal trainer there for an early morning session!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mom. She’s likely my biggest cheerleader and basically gave up a years worth of her wages to get my real estate business off the ground.

My wife, she’s been a game changer. She’s always been there for me and relationship continues to grow each and everyday as we parent 3 strong-willed girls.

My favorite book possible of all time has been Atomic Habits. I love the brain and learn how our brains work. James Clear gave me insight of just how our habits form the person I am and how I can create compounding healthy habits that can 10x your human experience.

Massive shoutout to James for writing that book!
