We had the good fortune of connecting with Jan + Jillian Yuhas, MA, MFT, CPC and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jan + Jillian, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in creating the success of our brand is our ability to understand people and their individual experiences. Being able to problem-solve complex situations for divorce, co-parenting, and blended families requires strategy and negotiation in order to cultivate the best solutions that are children-centered. It takes creativity and out-of-the-box thinking when faced with difficult personalities or complex family dynamics.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

We are co-parenting coaches and family mediators who strive to bridge the gap in the family court system by helping our clients find inner peace for themselves and their children. Facing the uphill battle of divorce court, coercive control, or drawn-out family conflict is no easy feat. We believe guided support is essential to maintain one’s mental and emotional well-being and to protect the innocence of children. We do not waiver from our dedication to helping our clients through this life transformation.

What sets us apart from others is our diverse background in psychology, life experiences, and our unique twin relationship. We have continuously strived to push beyond our personal limits and expand our abilities to achieve success no matter the circumstances, and we help our clients do the same. Staying true to our values keeps us on our path ahead which supports the integrity of our client relationships and business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love to dine out. Our favorite cuisines are French and southern BBQ. If we were to take our friends out on a night, we would head to a comedy show or a concert.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our passion to help others began at the age of 22 when we became volunteers at the National Runaway Safeline. During our volunteer experience, we helped mediate high-conflict conversations between parent(s) and their teens who ran away from home. We provided compassionate guidance and solutions to the families in order to work through their challenges and unresolved differences prior to the child returning home. Jan and Jillian’s dedication to volunteer work inspired and fueled their interest to want to help others work through their family struggles, which lead to their Masters in Marriage & Family Psychology and Certified Mediators.
