We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikita Amadi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nikita, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I believe that everything comes down to your faith and how much you believe in not only yourself but The Creator. There has been many of times where I’ve contemplated quitting but that was because I wasn’t actively showcasing faith. And I knew that faith is the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things unseen. So, even when those tough times become unbearable, it’ll show you how far you’d allow yourself to go because your only competition is yourself.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe that what sets me apart from other artists and musicians is that there can only be one me in the entire universe, down to what I compose about the experiences I’ve encountered and how I overall view music. I’m most proud of God for helping me to see the vision and to not give up on Him nor myself. Everyones’ journey is uniquely made for them and you cannot see the finish line if you’ve given up during the race especially when there is a future me that has already received the fruits of my labour. I chose to take the initiative in my journey alone and invested into myself which was not easy. I had to overcome many challenges mentally first, like thinking I wasn’t enough because people didn’t want to support me but I learned that respect as well as support is earned and that it will eventually come. I remained in a prayerful tunnel vision mindset that freed me from holding myself back. I want the world to know that with God, all things are possible which makes me an overcomer and a champion. And that I make melodies to inspire everyone to feel; no matter the setting or situation as long as you’re smiling in the end with high hopes, knowing that life will forever be what you make it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly, I live under a rock and it’s very rare to see me parading outside but I’m learning to venture out a whole lot more I promise! I will say, that I am a kid at heart and love anything that has to do with physical movement like the Urban Air Adventure Park, Go-Karting, Bowling, and Amusement Parks. But where there is physical movement there has to be food! Some great spots I love to visit for food in my hometown Houston, Texas are Mikki’s Cafe that has the best soulfood, Turkey Leg Hut, and Jupiter’s Pizza specifically for their Southern Belle chicken and waffles with their sweet potato fries.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All glory be to God for everything that I am and everything I’ve yet to become as well as my amazing family that is of full support of my career, my management A4L for being so determined to see me shine, my close friends and supporters!
